Audubon Park Fountain Elopement

Ashley and Matthew chose to have their Audubon Park elopement at the Hyams Fountain, one of my favorite tucked-away corners of New Orleans. Barely visible from Magazine Street, Hyams Fountain used to be a swimming hole for the local kids (now, it’s more the local dogs that take advantage of it!). Ashley and Matthew own a restaurant together in Utah, and in true foodie fashion arrived in New Orleans early so they could eat and eat and eat. In just a few days they hit up all my top choices! Impressive. They shared the sweetest private vows! The gorgeous Ranna from Let’s Elope New Orleans offi ..read more

Chris and Jessi chose City Park Botanical Garden for their elopement and even in the winter, it was gorgeous! There’s so many beautiful places to get married in the park but I honestly think this one is overlooked. It requires a little more paperwork, but not much, and it’s so worth it! How sweet are these two?! Love the pops of red! The lovely Michele from Just Married Y’all performed the ceremony. Chris and Jessi came to the botanical garden the day before and scouted out exactly where they wanted their ceremony to take place (it’s a huge garden!) and they chose this lovely row of hedges ..read more

Baton Rouge Lake House Wedding

Kat and Bassam hosted their wedding at the Lake House in Baton Rouge! Now I don’t travel to Baton Rouge to photograph weddings that often (even though it’s truly not that far!), but Kat and I were in high school together (I also photographed her sister’s wedding a few years ago!) and I was NOT gonna miss this! We started the day with Kat and Bassam’s first look. I can’t get over how perfect Kat’s makeup was (our mutual friend Stephanie did it!) and how insane the flowers are (her sister Emily did them!). So much love went into this look, and it shows! Just the absolute sweetest! Bassam is L ..read more

Greg and Nicole chose the Chapel Club at the Hotel St Vincent for their New Orleans elopement. It is such a cool space, there’s nothing like it elsewhere in the city. We started our time together with portraits outside the hotel, which was all decked out for the holidays! There’s so many fun places for photos around the hotel, it’s so great for a shorter timeframe because we can get so many different backdrops in just a few minutes. The hotel also has some amazing restaurants – San Lorenzo and Elizabeth Street Cafe. I mean how cute are they? Would you believe I took the above photo in a bat ..read more

City Park and Cemetery Elopement

Lora and Chris chose to have their New Orleans elopement in City Park, with portraits at the cemetery close by! We met at Cafe du Monde (yes I did have a frozen cafe au lait before we got started) and explored the park for some portraits before ceremony time. I loved the spooky yet elegant vibe they had going on! I also loved the moody bouquet and color pallette – worked so well with all the lush greens of the park! Everything just looked so rich and lush on their wedding day. I also had to do some more dramatic black-and-whites due to their style and I love how they came out! The park was ..read more

New Orleans City Park Peristyle Wedding

Sarah and Franklin chose to have their New Orleans wedding at the City Park Peristyle, a gorgeous architectural space right in the middle of City Park. I love this venue for its soaring columns, gorgeous reflective light, and location right by the water (okay and its proximity to Cafe du Monde’s beignets also can’t be beat). I met Franklin first and got him all set up for a first look! We didn’t have a lot of time (chairs were arriving any minute), but we don’t need a lot of time when the light is so gorgeous and the venue so stunning. Isn’t this gorgeous?! Honestly, I can’t believe it’s rig ..read more

Jennifer and Adam flew in from the pacific northwest for their City Park and Ace Hotel elopement. In between exploring the city, eating delicious food, and going shopping for their wedding outfits (yes – they bought their outfits just a day or two before!) they made it official and got married. The gorgeous and wonderful Ranna from Let’s Elope New Orleans officiated. New Orleans City Park is so magical in the afternoons – we found the perfect tree for Jennifer and Adam and held the ceremony there. After the ceremony, it was time for portraits! We explored the park and enjoyed the sunlight ..read more

Brady and Eric had the most beautiful morning elopement at the New Orleans Tree of Life – but they didn’t do it on just any day. Oh no, they did it on October 13th – Friday the 13th! (They even have matching 13 tatttos!) Brady’s black dress was everything – so simple, elegant, and still somehow bridal although all black! The veil really brought the whole outfit together. She was stunning! The light was so dappled in the morning, which added to the drama. I love a little first kiss dip! Congratulations Brady and Eric! Y’all are the sweetest! PS – enjoyed this morning Tree of Life elopement ..read more

Intimate Wedding at Race & Religious

There’s a reason Race & Religious is one of the most sought-after venues in New Orleans – and it really showed off for Sebastian and Tori’s intimate wedding. How insanely gorgeous is this bougainvillea?! Tori finished getting ready upstairs while the ceremony set up downstairs. It was so fun to peak over the balcony and see all the activity from the room! They chose to get married right by the pool which I *love* – such a fun spot. The gorgeous Ranna from Let’s Elope New Orleans officiated. Tori and Sebastian’s closest family and friends were there to witness their ceremony. Woohoo ..read more

Lacie and Mitchell’s morning elopement in New Orleans City Park was a dream! Meeting early in the morning means the light through the oak trees is super gentle, almost giving the photos a painting-like quality – but I’ll stop talking about it, so you can scroll down and see for yourself. Lacie and Mitchell opted for a private ceremony with just the two of them, their officiant, and Mitchell’s parents. They chose a mossy area of the oaks right off City Park Avenue next to the bridges for their ceremony site, and it was perfect! They did a family prayer at the end of the ceremony – so meaningf ..read more
