Rear sway bar bushings, low speed clunks

Good day y'all, 2011 AWD equinox has some bad rear sway (stabilizer) bar bushings. I have had this horrid clunking noise since I got the car a year ago, and have been unable to locate it. Only happened at low speeds, 0-20 mph, then completely gone. Even if I hit bumps, no clunk. Finally started happening way more often; over bumps and cracks, so I bit the bullet, went to a shop, they said it was the struts. Replaced those, sound was gone for a day then came back. Once again, only at low... Rear sway bar bushings, low speed clunks ..read more

Advice needed. Looking to get a 2013-2015 Terrain V6

I have been mildly active on these forums since I got my 2011 I4 Terrain in 2015. I had the oil consumption fix done at 80,000 miles and besides the normal wear and tear items that I've replaced, my Terrain has not given me any issues. My sister wants to buy mine for my nieces 16th and I am wanting to use that money towards getting a 2013-2015 (possibly 2016-2017, but I really don't like the body refresh they did those years) V6 Terrain. I am seeing them go for around $12,000-$17,000 for... Advice needed. Looking to get a 2013-2015 Terrain V6 ..read more

2020 Terain Windshield Replacement

My 2020 Terrain SLT has a few very small nicks in it, but they are right in my line of sight, and can be distracting. Ins. Co. told me they would cove the replacement. Has anyone had theirs replaced without alignment problems with the black box at the top of windshield. I was going to just live with it, but wanted opinions. I was told the dealership does not work with Ins Co & would have to be reimbursed via Ins Co. Mostly concerned about getting the alignment right. Not really sore what... 2020 Terain Windshield Replacement ..read more

Brake hose torque specs?
Terrain Forum

I've searched and searched, and I CANNOT find the answser anywhere: I need the torque specs for the front brake HOSES on my 2013 'Nox. I've found any number of "brake torque spec" threads that mention the specs for the CALIPER-END of the hose, but not for the top end of the hose. I know it's not going to be a big number, but I'm a little to paranoid about brakes to accept "snug" as an answer ..read more

Hi there! I'm looking for some advice as I start the process of purchasing my next Chevy. I’m particularly interested in a 2015 Chevy Equinox LTZ that is priced at $15,000 and 115K miles. I’ve done some research, but I’d love to hear from those with firsthand experience. What features should I consider with this model? Are there any specific problems or benefits I should know about? Also, as I prepare for an inspection, what aspects should I focus on to make sure I’m making a sound... Thinking about getting a 2015 Chevy Equinox LTZ. Hey there, forum pals! Just discovered a deal for a pre-owned 2015 GMC Terrain priced at $12,295with only 82,970 miles. It's tempting, but as someone new to car buying, I'm feeling a bit unsure. Any tips on spotting potential issues? Is the price reasonable for its age and mileage? Worried about its future resale value—any thoughts? Also, what should I prioritize during the inspection? Thinking of getting a mechanic's opinion—what do you think? Grateful for any advice or expertise you can... Hello everyone. I'm Carl from Columbia Missouri and I have a 2019 Chevy Equinox Premier. Had it since it was a year old and except for a couple of fairly recent problems I love it. I'm a pretty good mechanic and fix everything myself. What I'm curious about is have any of you experienced weird power draws? And how did any of you handle the vacuum assist pump recall? Thanks for having me. I look forward to chatting with you all ..read more

A/C heat issue
Terrain Forum

I have a 2016 Chevy Equinox LT AWD 2.4L, the a/c and heat were working than stopped and would work when it wanted to. I took it to the shop and they said the heat was my thermostat so I had them replace it. The a/c issue they said was my blend door actuator and that it would cost 12-1500$ because they had to remove the dash, they didn’t know however that I know how to work on cars. I don’t hear any clicking and all my modes work when I switch between face, feet or defrost. So I started to do... A/C heat issue ..read more
