Forgive me if this is discussed already, please point me in direction of info of so. (There are a lot of threads to look through) so I have been given a 2011 S40 1.6d D2 it is a non runner. No crank dash says immobiliser issue. the guy was driving ABS light came on. He got home turned car off and it won’t start again. he got another ABS pump. Turns out they can only be programmed to a car once or they need software coding to the new one. move out the old one back in but still nothing. i have the premium speakers and radio (hu-615) in my 2001 volvo s40 and i know there’s dolby prologic on there i just don’t know how to turn it on. the dolby button doesn’t do anything except for when using tapes. if anyone knows how to use it any help is appreciated ..read more

i was going through the hidden menus on the radio (hu-615) and went through the one where you turn it off and press and hold the power button while turning it back on and seen diver test and turned it on to see what it was and then i seen a 2 at the top next to fm and when on fm it switched between 1 and 2. pressing the auto button gave option for auto, sub, and main which made the auto made the 1 and 2 switch automatically and sub was i think 2 and main was 1. anyways i was just wondering if anyone knew what this means and what it does. i tried looking it up and couldn’t find anything ..read more

Hi guys, i recently bought a volvo s40 ii 2006. Im having a weird issue with the front passenger seatbelt sensor. Every time I have a passenger and they exit the car, the sensor still thinks someone is sitting there and will activate the missing seatbelt logo and start to chime. There is nothing on top of the seat and it will just beep, I have to push down on the seat with my hand a couple of times for it to stop. Is there a way to fix this? Hi. I have a 2009 Volvo S40 T5 with automatic transmission and 94K miles. I had a CPS fault code P0340. I've replaced both sensors and reset the fault code but it continues to return. The car starts but runs as if it's in limp mode. I've also checked the condition of the timing belt to see if it's possibly jumped a tooth. The belt is tight and I can clearly read the writing on the belt, leading me to believe the prior owner had it replaced in the not so distant past. Hi, I recently purchased a 57 plate Volvo S40 2.0 petrol, currently at 154k miles, MOT runs out in 2 days however the anti skid service required message has appeared so I know its going to be an instant fail however I'm not actually sure what it's going to be. I have the anti skid service message and the traction control light on as well. I have put a brand new battery on the car as the last one wasnt holding charge other than that the car runs fine. Hi everyone! I'm the proud new owner of a 2010 S40 with the 2.0 B4204S3 engine. Idle's a bit up-and-down. I want to get to the mass air flow sensor and give it a clean. Is the MAF really located in this location? (bottom of the right-most inlet manifold) If so, what's the best way to take it out? Do I have to remove the whole manifold? I’m new here so sorry for format, I purchased a 2007 s40 for very little the guy I got it from has a tow truck and recovery business , the car was stolen but most importantly it ran when it was stolen. It sat for a long time and whenever I got it it looked like very little had been messed with, it has around 130k miles. They only tried to jump it with no success.
