Hi all. I need advise please. We had done a major service and replaced the alternator with a new one. Everything else was working 100%. A day after we got the Volvo back, the engin light came on and we had no power. We took it back and now the Indicator Light R/R not working, Indicator Light R/R not working with the housing and the rear right brake light not working. It was working perfectly. Also the now the Solenoid Valve needs to be replaced and a hose. Can it be a coincidence that all of the above stopped working all of a sudden? Thank you ..read more

Hi All, After much aggravation and many threads read I believe my issue with my cluster is isolated to the DIM, gauges, and backlight shut off when driving as well as flashes SRS and ABS warning lights leaving a single glowing CEL light. I managed to find a lower mileage cluster from a 2007 Volvo, and it connects up fine where everything works (clusters, odometer, trip odometer, clock, weather). Mileage increases fine but has never updated to the new, higher mileage. Has flashing I In a box light during start up for first 3 minutes or so and then disappears. Hello,I have the 1.6hdi on a Volvo S40 from 2005. I just bought the car, the car had the check engine on when I bought it.Aftet cleaning the EGR and the intake the car war working okish. I had one more problem to solve, an o'ring from the infector return. I changed it after work, started the engine without going somewhere, all worked as usual, stoping the engine and leaving the car as is Next morning, 4-5 degrees Celsius. It's my pleasure to join here. According to my S40 MK1 as bought last year. I could not use for central lock, thus had a second hand keyless entry box from ebay, so it works the central lock. However, the original remote can not use. (..did try to fix the broken keyless entry box on the pcb, and the keyfob was able to use just a second. New here, purchased my first Volvo a couple weeks ago.. I got a 2004 S40 turbo with 86k miles on it. I am having trouble getting the car to start, but once it’s started and warmed up, don’t have any issues with it running/idle/etc. Here’s the info I know - I got it with a 1/4 tank of gas. It gave me an issue starting once or twice, where it just took two tries to start up. I have the carfax and it has had routine maintenance. Filters were changed 10k miles ago, (at 75k miles in 2017). Purchased today, it ran great for about 35 mins for me to drive it home. Ran some errands, had to re position it in the driveway and all was well. About two hours later, my son used the keyfob to unlock it and that was it. Horn won’t even honk. Battery was showing 12.5v.
