A curious question for y’all, has anybody replaced their spare? If so, with what? With even the latest cars being over 10y at this point (oldest 20y), the spares in our cars are old. Further, the OE Pirelli is NLA, and the only direct replacement (T125/85R16) I see is a Maxxis brand (which I personally have never used but they seem reputable enough, especially for a spare). Hello. Copying this from my intro thread... I was saddled with cursed with gifted a 2008 v50 2.4i FWD at about 187K. When I took on this vehicle, I was told "It eats oil and leaks water." I ended up sealing the sunroof with silicone because I've lived this long without one and dealing with the drain wasn't something I wanted to take on. Also, replaced the diaphragm in the PCV and the oil appetite seems to have gone down (although not completely sated, but livable for the time... Lately I've been nearly blind driving at night in my 2005 S40 with standard halogen headlights. Between the feeble H11 bulb power, poor headlight aiming that only illuminates a short distance, and scratched windshield I'm lucky there have been no accidents. I drive on a lot of dark roads.
