Warning light came on today (Saturday) for the first time and advised to stop. Fortunately I was only yards from my drive. Had a service and MOT done (regular garage used for years but not a dealership) 5 days ago so thought of bad battery connection. It wasn't. Called AA. Mechanic tested charge of starter battery and that was fine but his analysis machine said the battery needed replacement. (?) Hello, new to owning a Volvo and have a bit of concern with a noise. Purchased a 70’ Plate XC60 and it’s only covered 34.5k so far from main dealer. On startup if I tap the throttle there is a horrible rattle/scraping sound coming from what I can sus out drivers wheel/engine bay but will settle and disappear once the revs have dropped to idle and won’t appear when tapping the throttle. However during motion if I put the throttle on ever so slightly it’s there throughout all the gears unless I put my foot down more and it disappears and all you can hear is the turbo whirring around. Hi All I just recently purchased the ‘Volvo Extended Warranty’ for 4 year/60,000 miles, from Volvo UK. From the wording today on the Volvo UK site it appears that Volvo has now stopped offering warranties beyond year 4 – is this correct? If yes, where will people be able to go for year 5, 6…? Currently rebuilding a 2018 XC90 D5 which was dismantled for faulty turbos. Turbos turned out to be okay bar an electronic actuator. Car is currently in bits with me and was wondering if anyone had the VIDA diagrams for how the turbos mount together + all fittings for them. Hi folks, I'm about to buy a used 21 plate Volvo V60, this will be my first Volvo. I have two options available, both are 21 plates around the 35k to 40k milage mark... Both are R Design. However, one is the B6P engine and AWD, the other is the B5P and front wheel drive. I'm going for test drives, but does anyone have experience of these engines? Are they reliable? Ordered our new T8 Ultimate Dark XC90 in the sales event on 17th Feb. Picked it up on Saturday, 4th May. So 11wks (could possibly have been a week earlier had a couple of other steps been covered sooner).
