Hi all, Recently purchased a 2011 S60 SE LUX with the D3 engine and I'm pretty dissapointed with the MPG. I know the 5 pot isnt going to be as efficient as the newer 4 pot engines but looking at other peoples results mine still seems low. I have a daily commute of 65 miles which is a combination of A road driving and dual carriageways with occasional slow moving queues. I use regular diesel, no passengers and no other loads in car. Hello, Had a local euro car guy replace 2 struts/mounts on my 2016 S60 T5 Inscript. Felt great until I was near the house and rolling along at maybe 10 MPH. Anyone have issues with their sunshade not closing? I have s 2022 S60 B5 with the panoramic sunroof. My sunshade has always been kind of finicky to where sometimes it won't close. Anyone have any thoughts? ------------------ This all started around the time that you discovered the leaking fuel pump so it might be related but, then again, it might not. Bear with me as this gets involved. The first thing that I noticed was that the trunk would unlock itself while I was driving. I'd get an alert on the dash that that the trunk was open. Hi I have a beater s60, not really worth fixing it completely back to a normal car. Decided to make it into something to play with go fast and have fun with. It was broke awhile back and I drove it with no exhaust and a bunch of parts missing. couldn't believe how much faster the car was, much more fun to drive. Going to copy that, I'm going to strip as much weight as I can off the car. Put a better exhaust system on it. If possible I'd like to convert it to a high pressure turbo system. Hi folks, Well after just 9 months of ownership, the 2006 S60R I spent every last penny on has apparently cracked a cylinder. I wish I'd known about this BS Volvo design flaw before I bought the car, but it is what it is. The main problem now is that I'm on the Big Island of Hawaii and there are very few resources out here. It would seem to me my best bet is sourcing a 2.4L engine to replace this poorly designed 2.5L. I'm told the B5244T5 drops right in, at a cost of about 40HP, and a gain of losing these crummy cylinder walls. Shipping however is going to cost a fortune. I've looked into s ..read more

Has anyone used an aftermarket thermostat in the 01 2.4T? Its got that weird one with the pin on the top and I am pretty sure mine is original and shot and I cannot find just a replacement thermostat anywhere but I keep reading you can just replace it without changing the whole housing I picked one up from my local parts store but its way different and will not work ..read more
