I agree he has been playing well and slotted in well. Ive been impressed with his variety, still work to do on getting the backline moving, but he is getting there, his kicking and control was never in doubt. I havent been critical of him, more cautionary that he is not the messiah, he was 3rd choice at Munster and it would be too much to expect him to come straight in and flourish, as it happens he has done that and been more than we should have expected. Still learning though, i think the more he plays the better he will get, Ali Price will also help him ..read more

liveinhope wrote:But why did ref not blow for time at 80.05 when squint lineout called? Who knows how important that two points for Ulster could prove later in the season.
But just great to finally win one away in Ireland!
That and the scrum off the mauled restart, healy appeared to know the rule ref didn't and then whatever was said with TMO.
It would be classic Edinburgh if those 2 points for ulster cost us playoff top8 place at end of season ..read more

Ulster were poor. They started quickly, getting on the right side of the ref, but didn't have a cohesive attack after Glasgow started to pin them back. Edinburgh have the pack to dominate, more so than Glasgow.
The Ulster backs were fairly impotent although they were missing a dedicated 10.
Then again, Glasgow's starting scrum half was 4th choice 2 weeks ago.
Edinburgh should have nothing to fear even if Ulster are a v ..read more

Boffelli signed a 2 year deal last season, think he may have another year yet.
Duhan also returned on a "Long term deal" last season so assume he has another couple of seasons possibly.
Bennett signed 2 years in March this year.
Lang I think will be out of contract he must have joined on a 3 year deal ..read more

Viaplay are going to exit their sports coverage, and Premier Sports will it take over again. No exact date.
I'm not massively surprised that Viaplay are going. As the thread title says, they announced a while back they were wanting to exit the UK market. Bit surprised it's Premier - I can only assume they're getting it back for not very much (and certainly a lot less than they sold it to Viaplay for, which was apparently £30m !). The worry of course is how much time and effort PS will put into future coverage after this season.
Everything I read implies subscribers via TV don't have to do an ..read more
