I've said I saw a mouse deer and signs for Galapagos Marine Iguana at London Zoo in 1996, the latter with an enclosure boarded up because they were breeding and people have responded on here claiming "the records show" neither species were at the zoo at this time. I'm planning on visiting the zoo very soon and I'm aware that some of the indoor areas are closed as a result of a local report of avian influenza, as stated by the website. I was just wondering if there are any other indoor areas currently closed. The website states that the Latin America Wetland aviary, Tropical Realm and Monsoon Forest (excluding Tripa Forest Research Station) are all closed. Having just read that London Zoo is not going to use the old reptile house as a museum, it got me thinking. I personally think that zoos should, as long as its not of any detriment to any of the living collection. It doesn't have to be full of dead specimens.
