Rusty dog?

I like when people say their dog is rusty as an excuse. I have a 10y.o. dog here that is my best dog that I have now decided to retire from steady use. He was started on squirrels and then switched to coons at 10 mos. old. He hasn't been used on squirrels since. I got him out of the kennel and washed his ass because he most likely will be in and out of the house from time to time. I had a tracking collar on him because I was pretty sure he would hang around but he is a notorious deep hunter... Read more ..read more

Over the years we always had younger hounds coming on, but we haven't breed any in over 3 years. Mainly due to having all the hounds we want to afford. All are Walkers, some with July in there. Running those 5 to 7 year old hounds together has been an eye opener. Those 15 hounds can just flat out get it done. Working together to keep it straight and rolling at the same time. Usually looking like a 6 pack for field trial beagles, except over 10 mph faster. Looks like you could throw a... Read more ..read more

I am trying to help a friend get set up with his first set of tracking collars for rabbit beagles. I called a couple places that I have bought from before. They both said that the TT15 mini had been discontinued. Anybody know somewhere to buy these? Refurbished is ok ..read more

Not much on all the trial competitions, and never had what I would say were high quality dogs until I got Tilley. The guy that's helped me with some training said to bring her out and just have fun. So we loaded the camper up and all the dogs. Ember the little Tri color we got a week ago and is hell on wheels. Next year should be fun with two great young dogs on the ground ..read more

I know I’m probably getting cussed this am. Have 5 pieces logging equipment running about 200 yards from where they stated the hunt at. Had another piece of equipment to move but told the guys wait till Monday. A couple hundred deer hunters flying up and down narrow roads and wide equipment don’t mix to well ..read more

For you that aren't computer illiterate this is a pretty neat function. You can program your Garmin so that when it comes on it will display temporarily anything you want. It would be good if you lost your Alpha if an honest person found it. Here are the steps. Power on Message Garmin Alpha Want to personalize your alpha startup screen? Possibly help if your unit is ever lost? 1. Plug alpha into computer using furnished USB Cable 2. Open My computer 3. Open Garmin Alpha 4. Open Garmin... Read more ..read more

Well fellas. The pup is here. Very laid back. Hasn’t barked yet. Not afraid just very chill. I’m very pleased with how he acts. My son is over the moon right now. This is a gorgeous pup. Going to be a big hound though. I had no clue that anyone had been able to keep some of these older blooded dogs going. Even though it’s way back he has merchants bawling Barney, hickory nut harry, Finley river chief, houses lipper and on and on. Hayden’s already working on things but we think the pup is a...
