Anyone experience a virtual cockpit getting excessively hot after a few hours driving on a moderately hot day ? I have two cars – an Audi A6 C6 2005 V6 3.2L and a Q7 2007 V8 4.2L. Quite some time ago, my mechanic had replaced the battery management module in the Q7 with an additional one that I had lying around for the A6. Is the A6 module compatible for the Q7. The part number for the A6 is 4F0 915 181A/0 199 000 013 while the one originally in the Q7 was 4L0 915 181/0 199 000 017. hi, just joined the forum with the hope of an answer. Changed rear discs , pads and handbrake shoes 12 mth ago on 2011 4.2tdi q7, the pads have worn and put light on, the fronts are still like new and not covered many miles in last 12 mth. The Audi garage said they are complex and the air gap is to be set with a vagcom or iid, I didn’t see this in any of the many videos I watched before changing them, and it’s strange as the fronts would generally wear first. I currently have snow tyres fitted (295/35 r21) but as I'm off to the alps it is mandatory in France to have snow chains There seems to be different views on the use of snow chains on these tyres.
