I have a New Beetle Cabriolet 2004. I am trying to find out why it is not starting. The battery is good but when I turn the ignition key there is nothing not even a click. I have looked at the starter motor connections and all look good. I am thinking that the ignition switch might be the problem. I cannot seem to get the ignition lower cowl off. Hi. Discovered my beetle has steel spare wheel and using the alloy bolts tightened as far as it can go the wheels still have a slight play and rumble when driving. Are there different bolts for the steel spare that I didn't get with the car ..read more

Hi hope someone can help when I bought my 2007 2 ltr tdi beetle the seller told me the fuel gauge is not working correctly I found out to my cost when one day the needle was showing half full . but car ran out of desil . So I replaced the fuel sender unit with a used part but still was not reading correct , so I thought maybe the used sender was faulty so I put a new one in and still reading wrong . Hi all, I am having some problems with my 2005 Cabriolet Beetle, the alarm will go off randomly and stop after 10 seconds. I've already sent it to be fixed twice with multiple sensors and locks changed in the car, yet the problem still comes and goes after 3 years of these fixes. is there any advice out there? how difficult is it to disable the alarm, I'm at wits end, hoping there's some way of fixing it to stop the neighbours complaining! Hi, Back again with my daughter’s beetle, the car has been sat for nearly a year. I started it and drove it for 10 minutes a couple of weeks ago. I had the gearbox swapped out by a mechanic ( went well), after he started it up and it was running for over 30 minutes, then it cut out and would not start, the mechanic noticed the fuel guage going to half tank and back to empty. Hi everyone I have just picked up my first bug, always wanted one, I have just managed to get my remote keys to work but I have an issue with the locks , my driver's door lock rod is not in place, but the door locks and unlocks fine My passenger door lock rod will not come up when I unlock the door either with the button or the key, and when I pull the inside handle it comes up but door does not open it goes back down if I let go of the handle, if I hold the handle open and press unlock on...
