I have 2 usb's. i flashed the nobara installer with rufus to usb 1 and it worked perfectly. When starting the installation i choose to delete entire disk for the os and i also chose the no swap memory option. The installation went perfectly and installed withot error. It told me to reboot but when i go to boot sequence in my uefi/boot menu it only shows the installer usb and not the usb that i installed to. i opened windows again and all the partitions seem to be working. there is 1 big... My way of running almost any Windows game that isn't preliminary prepared for Linux

As you probably know there are some games for Windows that have been prepared for Linux - either by Vavle, sometimes by GOG or another platform. But these games do not always run as expected. Not to mention that quite often there aren't enough seeders (if any at all, even if the game is free-to-play, like MMORPG, and those games often resort to torrents to the torrent protocol to spread their files) which leaves you with only one option: to download the game with its Windows installer. You... Read more ..read more

Dying Light mouse not responding

I am having trouble getting any mouse motion response from Dying Light. I have tried the native version and with Glorious Eggroll Proton 9.2 (released ~3 days ago) compatibility. What happens: I launch the game (I've had no problems launching either version) and the mouse cursor is parked in the top left-hand corner of the screen. Moving the mouse causes very little response, but there is some. Keyboard input works fine. The Arch wiki only mentions launch issues. A moderate scan of... Read more ..read more

Hello there! This is a second time when I'm on a Linux forum. I run Linux still today, although it give me headaches from time to time. Funny when I think about it, when I bought my first PC, I got a LInux operation system on a CD. Friends told me back then, this is not for you. And was true, but was stubborn and later I installed Ubuntu side by side. Later I gave up Ubuntu for Mint and because back then was no support for Linux what so ever I step back to Windows. As for 2013 I think I run... Read more ..read more

Hobby-Games for testing

Hello, I'm Andreas and I create PC games as a hobby. My engine is Unity and that brings me to the topic. I don't use Linux myself and therefore have no experience. I often get the question from other (GameDev forums) whether I can generate one or the other project I have created for Linux. Theoretically I can. However, I don't have a system for testing when I want to offer my games. I am therefore interested in whether the projects actually run without any problems and whether there are... I don't understand how/why its not working now...

So when I first installed Linux, I had the Q4wine program on, and I'd install games. And with the q4wine program they'd work fine. It worked every time. I had lutris on also but for some reason q4wine worked best and easiest. I'd just right click on the game file icon, and tell it to run on q4wine. Easily it would start up. I also have playonlinux on and steam. But it always worked best with q4wine. (Also the help forums and youtube videos on linux are very often confusing because they... Read more ..read more
