After an arduous, exciting and suspense filled process of internet voting, we found out we were going to Cincinnati.  Arriving in Cincinnati, the first thing we wanted to do was check out the location for the cruise. 2024 is getting jump started with the Downhill Skateboarding & Street Luge World Championship race. This race is hosted by World Skate and is located in Tagaytay, Philippines, overlooking the Taal volcano. February 22-24 are the dates, with a time trial shootout and a championship race. Pump tracks are a great way to bring people of all skill levels together. Riding them is a blast and builds your skate skills. In 2013 Grant Shilling, founder of Get on Board, had invited us to the small community of Ahousaht to share our love of skateboarding with the local kids. We taught the kids how to skate, and a year later, went back a second time to paint skateboard decks with them. We quickly fell in love with this isolated community of people living off the west coast of Vancouver Island. Dane has taken home the crown at this year's World Skate Games that took place in San Juan Argentina, November 8 – 12, with 200 downhill skateboarders from countries around the world competing. Riders qualified by competing at national events in their home countries.
