At rider support we sometimes get riders who want to motorize their favourite longboard.  At Exway Canada we are interested in rider driven ideas and initiatives and encourage riders to experiment. As we typically throw our support behind such projects by consulting and providing guidance with our electronic systems. i.e. the non skateboard parts of the eks8, we encourage riders to reach out to us if they have questions. Its always better to ask and get as much info as you can before you void warranty or damage any components. As many of us here also ride longboards we are familiar both w ..read more

The Flex Pro pre release has been out for ten days in the US and China and it is now available for pre order in Canada as well. Production has all but completed which means no delays in this area and the decks themselves should be shipping out to all regions of the world very shortly. Its times like these when being a Nordic country so far from the production team really stretches out this part of the process. For new releases in the recent past, the greatest delays have always been with the customs and clearance process at the Canadian border. Meanwhile our current estimates has the Flex Pro ..read more

Exway aquires its own factory.

Since last season, Exway has finally acquired and set up its own factory. Gone are the days of sharing with and bidding against other brands for production runs. This is not like a brand with its headquarters in one country building products at a generic third party factory in another far off country, but rather a brand building its own products in its own dedicated factory next door to its own HQ.  We are very happy to share that having our own factory means increased control and tighter monitoring over every aspect of production, supply and quality for our riders. Having tools, machiner ..read more

The 28 tooth pulley (new release due spring /summer '22)

Exway Canada is about to release the OEM 28T pulley for the RIOT v2 drive. (summer '22) The RIOT v2 drive is featured in the Flex, the Wave, the X1 Max, and the Atlas. The 28T pulley is the smallest pulley that Exway makes. Keep in mind that with the smaller the pulley, less torque is produced, while the top speed increases. As the stock drive gear has 14 teeth, and the 28T pulley has 28 teeth the gear ration achieved is therefore 14:28. When installing always remember to enter the proper gear ratio in the app in order to preserve accurate telemetry data. Exway rider AkaliA (Ontario) – has ins ..read more

Carving....Lake Ontario February 2020 Much inspiration after the X1 Pro was released, Exway Canada team rider Brenndan C. uses his prototyping skills to adapt the deck to Canadian winters. This was an oldie from our Instagram feed and we wanted to preserve it here as well. As always, skating on frozen lakes may not be safe or legal in your area. Exway Canada continues to share Esk8 life from the perspective of the people who maintain and promote Exway as a lifestyle. Much of what we do ups the danger level beyond the stock dangers of Esk8 and we do not recommend that you do as we do. &n ..read more

The road to roadkill
Exway Canada Blog

May 18th 2019 A throwback to the launch of the X1 Pro. In the year that the X1 Pro was introduced. Exway riders in Ontario took the deck out for a rip on some back roads just south of Ottawa. The X1 Pro is ridden by the Red Panda vs the Boosted V2 is ridden by Boosted Roo. While the Red Panda was about 30 pounds lighter than Boosted Roo, the Boosted board was on a belt system while the X1 Pro was running hub motors. This was an uphill rip just south of Ottawa along some Canadian back roads.   It was time to split!  Didn't take long for a panda and a kangaroo on electric skateboards ..read more
