Hi Evan! How are you today? Can you tell me a little about S-Tier Skateboards? S-Tier Skateboards is my brand that I created in 2022. S-Tier skateboards is more directed to downhill and longboard style decks as that is the style of board that I used to love when I was a rider myself.  What got you into building boards? I was extremely into downhill skateboarding and longboarding in my late teens and early 20’s and I wanted to start building my own decks so that I could create the exact board that I wanted. I have been building decks for around 7 years now ..read more

This board is an intensely colourful portrait of a student who collaborated with glitter artist Alexa Trilli. The entire surface of this skateboard sparkles! Trilli is well-known for her custom portraits of celebrities and musicians such as Paris Hilton and Drake. The portrait on this skateboard is all about Shiloh, a student at the Oasis Skateboard Factory. Bad Influence is Shiloh’s Personal Brand. Creating a Personal Brand is a mainstay subject that teachers Lauren Hortie and Craig Morrison introduce early in their program at this TDSB Alternative school in downtown Toronto. Hi Les, how are you today? Can you tell me a little about Ten Letter MFG? Hey, things are good. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Ten Letter MFG is the most recent name I've given the endeavours in the shop (everything from skateboards to cabinets and caskets). "Woodworker" and "skateboard" are both ten letter words so I think I'm going to stick with this name. I recently got a CNC machine, it has really improved every aspect of my boards and it has helped increase production capability as well. I can make a lot of boards now. What got you into building boards? How long have you been bui ..read more

This was a collaboration between student Carly Schwind, and David Reininger, an accomplished model-maker for major movies such as Star Wars. From left to right: Craig Morrison (teacher and the Founder of the Oasis Skateboard Factory), David Reininger (artist), unknown, and Carly Schwind (student) Photos above and right: Jonathan Nuss The project assigned, was to create a board that reflected the theme of “Youth ..read more
