Day two of the 2024 NFL Draft has now concluded, rounds 2-3 are a wrap and the Raiders continued to build the trenches. Raiders new general manager Tom Telesco said after day two in the presser “When I came here I wanted to build the team through the offensive and defensive line. (Raiders head coach) AP has the same vision.”

With rumors swirling about for months that the Raiders would trade up for the quarterback of head coach Antonio Pierce’s dreams in Jayden Daniels, this draft pick comes as a shock.
Even to the first-round pick himself.
“I was really shocked,” said Brock Bowers, three-time All American out of Georgia. “I wasn’t totally sure what was happening.”

Raiders General Manager Tom Telesco started his presser by paying his respects to the late, great reporters Christ Mortensen and John Clayton. But then, he noted that they have a plan to be aggressive in the draft to trade up if the player they really want is there, and they also have plans for if they can’t trade up and sit pat at pick 13 or even if they need to trade down.
