Hey Guys: My truck has the yips!, whoopsie dos, in an effort to solve this I have changed, cats, coils, Yesterday, .I changed the mass air flow sensor correctly with the Motorcraft part, for my 2011 F150. Maybe the orignal sensor was okay but I installed a new one anyway. Simple, right? I did a 15 min battery unplug. Yes, now wrench , engine and advance trac lights on. 25 mile drive into work with loss ot power. Is the ECM or computer learning? 2021 F150 3.5 Powerboost 106k miles So I’ve had this truck for a while now bought used with around 45k miles in June last year. Today it has around 106k miles so I drive it quite bit and mostly very pleasant experience. A few months back however there was a shuttering that started under load at highway speeds that would then throw some codes up about misfires. I changed coils and spark plugs and the issue persisted that week. Then it went away, I drove 15k miles no issues other than randomly it may happen once on a long road trip and then disappear. I'm looking for a 2018-2020 Ford F-150 and I know as an option I can get the 3.0 liter turbo diesel V6. Are the 4 cylinder 2.2 and 2.0 liter diesel engines available options for that model? Also, how reliable/durable are the 3.0 liter V6 and 4 cylinder diesel engines from Ford? Is it a safer bet to just go with a regular gasoline engine, less maintenance costs? Okay here's one for you. went to the store in my 2003 f150 5.4 l two valve rear-wheel drive SuperCrew. everything was working fine. come out start the truck up and started hearing a noise around where the flywheel is. get home I had a partner start the truck for me and started seeing Sparks come out with a flywheel. Hi all, I have a 07 f150 5.4 rwd. It was shifting hard word just erratic at times so I had a buddy see if any codes with his snap on reader. Nothing. Took it to the dealership and they said the codes came up were P0715 / P0717 and or P1715 / P1717. Advisors notes said different from the techs. Anyhow, comes down to the Transmission speed sensor harness.The ohm’s it out and the wires and plug looked good. Plugged it back in and drove it around a good bit. No new codes. So he said instead of spending $700 for a new one let’s use some dielectric grease on it. Maybe just dirty etc.. Has anyone d ..read more
