Due to the recent and continuous rains, unfortunately the Argentine Polo Association had to SUSPEND the National Tournaments for Minors and Youth (*); in addition to the competitions for the Heguy/Sauze Cup, Autumn/Friendship, the U18, the Women’s Masters, the Inés Ayerza Cup and the final of the 55th Open of the C. H. M. San Jorge.
In addition, it informs that the semifinals and final of the Final Round of the Argentine Republic Cup presented by Pax Assistance and the tournament for the Santa Paula Cup are postponed to the next Official Spring Season.

It was the biggest match up of the U.S season on Sunday 21st April at the National Polo Center in Wellington, Florida as for the third time in 2024 La Dolfina took on Valiente to fight it out for the title. This time it was the U.S Open Polo Championship, the biggest and most prestigious tournament of the season and the finale of the American Triple Crown. Going 1 for 1 in the previous two finals, Valiente winning the CV Whitney cup 12-10 and La Dolfina winning the USPA Gold Cup 12-9 it was best of 3 to see who would come out overall champion.

Park Place (Andrey Borodin, 0, Juan Britos, 9, Hilario Ulloa, 10, Joaquin Panelo, 6) held on for a thrilling 12-11 victory over defending champion and previously undefeated Audi (Marc Ganzi, 1, Nacho Figueras, 5, Jeta Castagnola, 10, Pablo MacDonough, 10).
The victory avenged a 10-9 loss to Audi in overtime in tournament bracket play.
It was the second World Polo League tournament title for Park Place making its 26-goal WPL season debut. Park Place also won the Founders Cup.

Valiente take the second Final spot against La Dolfina having won the Semi-final of the U.S. Open Polo Championship on Wednesday 17th April, defeating Pilot 9-6 at the National Polo Center.
A third consecutive Valiente vs La Dolfina final is on the cards as Pilot fell prey to Valiente in their first match up of the season. A low scoring affair, Valiente successfully shut down the goal scoring powerhouse that is Pilot’s Facundo Pieres meaning that at halftime the score was at 5-1, Pilot unable to get back on the scoreboard after Antonio Heguy’s initial goal in chukka 1 drew first blood.

La Dolfina won the first Semi-final of the U.S. Open Polo Championship on Wednesday 17th April, winning 13-11 against Coca Cola at the National Polo Center.
A good pace was set in the first chukka with long open and running plays which made for fantastic watching. La Dolfina scored early followed by a quick reply from Polito who scored off a great assist from Keko. Tied up at 1 all, the rest of the chukka saw the teams rally, moving the ball from goal to goal without any conversions but in some excellent shows of ball control and team strategy.

La Dolfina defeat Park Place by a score of 13-11 in the U.S. Open Polo Championship at National Polo Center on Sunday 14th April to take the number 1 spot going into the Semi-finals and continue their now 9 game winning streak (4 unbeaten games in this tournament).

Pilot won against Tamera by a score of 11-9 in the U.S. Open Polo Championship at National Polo Center on Sunday 14th April in a tight and intense match to take the third Semi-final spot, joining Valiente and La Dolfina.
With so much on the line for both teams, it was all to play for. A win for Pilot meant a guaranteed spot in the semis and a win for Tamera would give them a second chance to compete to stay in the tournament.
