We were so excited to be a Company in Residence at the 2022 Swell Sculpture Festival, bringing two works to the festival: A Bee Story performed daily in the kid’s hub, and a brand-new commissioned work ‘Living Sculptures: how the birds got their colours’. We were thrilled to have such a presence at 2022’s Swell. For Living Sculptures, we were so proud to develop and bring this ambitious work to this year’s SWELL, in the festivals twentieth year. A Bee Story 2: Garden Party, Premiered at HOTA

We are just so excited to have premiered our Bee-Quel, at Home of the Arts (HOTA) in 2022, with a completely sell out season. This new show was commissioned by HOTA and was supported by Arts Queensland. We have just loved making a second family show to add to our repertoire, and we have loved premiering it at our home on the Gold Coast. We were helped making this show by some lovely young Gold Coast kids who helped us devise the show. HOTA have a truly innovative program for young people. We are just so excited to have visited Iraq in October 2022, visiting programs of our partner organisation, Iraqi Children Foundation (ICF), and performing for the kids at the ‘Hope Buses’ in Baghdad. This trip was an incredible opportunity as it’s been impossible to visit Iraq because of travel restrictions. We have had a strong link to ICF and their inspiring programs delivering love and hope to the most vulnerable children of Iraq. An update from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival

The Bees have landed from their huge journey flapping their little wings very hard all the way from the Gold Coast to Edinburgh! We are 14 shows into our 25 show run here in Edinburgh and we are creating quite a buzz. Bee's are a hot topic and children and families have been expressing their delight about the show. For our first Edinburgh Fringe we have been getting wonderful reviews, as well as great word of mouth response with our audience numbers building over the season.
