Our hearts are full, what an amazing 2023-24 season we had at Stowe Mountain Resort! What an incredible weekend at the 2024 Vermont Special Olympics Winter Games! After a few years of hiatus, the VTSO Winter Games were hosted at the Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain, in Wilmington, Vermont, on Friday, March 15th. This year, for the first time ever, Green Mountain Adaptive Sports (GMAS) provided financial assistance to cover the expenses of five athletes who participate in the Smugglers’ Notch Adaptive Program (SNAP) and receive eight ski training sessions with SNAP instructors at Smugglers’ Notch. Tom Hall Sets off to Break Vertical Ski Challenge Record at Stowe

Tom Hall is hoping to beat his personal record of skiing 39 runs on the Four Runner Quad and crushing 79,298 feet of vertical skiing at Stowe Mountain Resort in one day on Monday, March 18th. He is also trying to raise $10,000 for Green Mountain Adaptive Sports. Jack is Back in a TetraSki at Stowe

On February 29, 2024, Jack Clark will be using a joystick to carve some turns skiing in the TetraSki at Stowe Mountain Resort. Green Mountain Adaptive Sports (GMAS) and the Adaptive Sports program of Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) came together Jan 23-25, 2024 to host a multi-day clinic for eleven veterans at Stowe Mountain Resort. GMAS and WWP’s Adaptive Sports programs both focus on working with other organizations to help people with disabilities and injuries get more access to sports. Green Mountain Adaptive Sports hosted the largest monoski camp yet in the 12th edition of the event, drawing 24 athletes from all over the New England, Quebec, and even British Columbia to ski and network at Stowe Mountain Resort. The annual event is hosted annually by GMAS with collaborations from Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers, Adaptive Sports Partners, and Eastern Adaptive Sports. Green Mountain Adaptive Sports is helping fund and coordinate an adaptive ski camp for veterans of the Wounded Warrior Project at Stowe Mountain Resort on January 23-25, 2024. This will be the second year that the Wounded Warrior Project organization partners with GMAS to coordinate a most memorable experience for the veterans, many of whom have never skied before.
