First John #2 - John begins his letter with the gospel message. God made it possible for us to truly know Him through Jesus Christ. John’s goal in writing this letter is for fellowship and joy through the gospel. Following Jesus allows us to have fellowship with God, which is the ultimate blessing. But it also means having relationships with other Christians. A renewed relationship with God leads to a renewed relationship with God’s people. Having good relationships with one another increases our joy. Learn more about The Bridge Church: Website: https://thebridgechurch.hk ..read more

Jesus the Messiah #7 - Jesus is alive. The tomb is empty. Whether you believe that’s true or not, it requires a response. We see three responses in Matthew 28. If you believe Jesus is alive, don’t be afraid. If you don’t believe Jesus is alive, explain why the tomb is empty. If you do believe that Jesus is alive, share the good news. Jesus the Messiah #5 - We have strong ideas about power, what it looks like and how to get it. People living in the time of Jesus also had ideas of what power looked like. Jesus does not match up to either of these ideas of power. In this passage, we see an example of Jesus’ power and how it subverts our idea of power. During the season of Lent, as we prepare to celebrate Easter, we will see how Jesus fulfills God's promises to send a rescuer. This week, we see Jesus' overcoming, true power that leads to freedom. During the season of Lent, as we prepare to celebrate Easter, we will see how Jesus fulfills God’s promises to send a rescuer. This week, we see that Jesus prepares us to live our lives ready for the day we face final judgement. Thank you to Pastor Niels van de Kasteele for being our guest Pr ..read more

Jesus the Messiah #3 - This week we look at the well-known parable Jesus tells of two builders at the end of his Sermon on the Mount. Jesus teaches uses this story to teach those listening that they now have a choice: to walk away unchanged or to follow Jesus and his teaching. During the season of Lent, as we prepare to celebrate Easter, we will see how Jesus fulfills God’s promises to send a rescuer. This week, we see that Jesus is the rock we would be wise to build our lives upon. We all build our lives around something. But only one foundation will carry us through the storms and last forev ..read more
