Which PRS acoustic to replace my Martin 000 28?

TL,DR: I want to replace my Martin 000 with a PRS acoustic, but I am uncertain about the specs, mostly body size. - - - - Truth be told I don't really like playing acoustic guitars. I've only ever had two, both nice ones. First a gibson J45, that I bought about 7 years ago (after playing electric for over 20 years). Great looking guitar, sounded good but only when strummed hard, and the body size made it very uncomfortable to hold. I have a bad right shoulder and it would physically hurt... Read more ..read more

For those of you who have played or own both the Tonare Grand and Angelus acoustics, what are the biggest differences you see? Is one considerably louder than the other? Perhaps they have different tonal characteristics, given that each model shares the same tone woods. Thanks ..read more

As some of you may have read in the Electric Guitars forum, I had been scoping out possible rosewood neck electrics, eager to explore some new sonic territory. I almost picked up a 513 with RW neck, but couldn't quite get to a price I could justify for yet another electric guitar. So whilst browsing alternative thoughts, I found an acoustic I really liked, a 2010 Core Steve Fischer Angelus. It has a cocobolo fretboard, mahogany back and sides... Read more ..read more

Pulling Bridge Pins on Angelus

Hey Gang, On my I recently purchased Angelus, I'm having a really hard time extracting the bridge pins, without mangling the pins (too late!), and trying real hard to not damage the bridge. The reason for the difficulty is that the holes for the strings/pins are recessed, which make getting a pin puller under or around the head of the pins almost impossible as they are recessed into the bridge. Or maybe the heads on the bridge pins are larger than normal. I’ve tried 3 different style pin... Read more ..read more
