Greetings! I've been volunteered by my boss to be in charge of our non-profit's recording studio, which I know next to nothing about. We have a Sure SM7B, a pair of Rode M5s and an inexpensive MXL condenser running through a Focus Clarett. All the mics seem really quiet... I have to crank the preamps all the way up to get a signal at around -18dBs, which doesn't seem right. What can I do if I want more headroom?
