Hard truth about your music producer career

I just want to share my opinion on why your music career isn't as "big" as some major artists. But is that really important? What is important actually? I tried to explain in a comic/meme way, this is not a tutorial or anything serious, just for entertainment purposes. Are serum stock presets good enough to make a banger?

We all have a copy of this amazing plugin, and we probably use it in 99% of our productions. But when we do, we always use other third party presets that we got from some packs etc. But are the stock presets inside serum good enough to make a banger? I made a video trying to make one... Hope you're gonna like it! The result came out nice. Ps. It's a meme/comedy sketch type of video, not an actual tutorial✌ Link: https://youtu.be/x6NFOsQFjbU?si=xqCo9pDW2bDFsGMh submitted by /u/kilegence [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Gain Staging on Focus Clarett Pre8 and Logic

Greetings! I've been volunteered by my boss to be in charge of our non-profit's recording studio, which I know next to nothing about. We have a Sure SM7B, a pair of Rode M5s and an inexpensive MXL condenser running through a Focus Clarett. All the mics seem really quiet... I have to crank the preamps all the way up to get a signal at around -18dBs, which doesn't seem right. What can I do if I want more headroom? I checked the phase on the Rodes and the phantom power for the MXL. submitted by /u/necromantic_angel [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Zoom G2.1Nu as an interface question.

Am I correct in understanding that I can use this multi-effects pedal as an interface to my computer and I will not be needing the Focusrite? I bought a Focusrite Solo and am waiting for it to arrive. What happens if I place the Focusrite between the pedal and computer? submitted by /u/Chef_Dani_J71 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
