I was thinking about putting up a Blues jam track and getting some members to lay down some solos over it for a few bars each. Maybe 10 members that have recording capabilities. What do you guys think? If this something you’d be into,.. I’ll tweak a blues track to make it longer than usual. I can make it like 7 to 8 minutes long and each of us can have 30 second to a minute to lay down a solo over it. I just need to know how many will do it and assign a time slot for each. You record your... Read more ..read more

So I have: A computer. A 24/48 AI which also has a full retro-gaming style midi synth in it. A 16/44 AI which also has a hardware effects processor built in it for some interesting vocal effects. I have to run Linux to use this, but that's fine. A 24/48 AI which cost me a fortune 10 years ago what the hell was I thinking. Please tell me Lexicon has gone bust now this thing is just trash. (Forgot this one on original post). A 24/48 AI but it's a Behringer mixer so maybe if I start recording... Read more ..read more

Roland UA-100 on Windows

I know this is fine on Ubuntu Studio, but has anyone tried one of these ancient beasts on any recent Windows? I know the UA-101 is supported by drivers in the Windows repo's, but the 100 is so old that Roland don't even list it any more. Wondering if it's supported by any Microsoft built-in stuff. So, I recently added some additional flavor to my "studio" room! Firstly, because of using my YouTube more, I've acquired some tools for videography. I got 2 RGB spotlights, for multicolor backlighting. They also serve as a "lookin pretty cool" vibe when im just jamming along. I acquired a Ring light, and a green screen. Well, we already had the ring light, I just put it to use. Lastly, I snagged another 3 pack of wall hangers. So now all my guitars are hung, aside from whichever I am... Read more ..read more

So today I am going to work on some new music, and I think im going to use my modeler direct to my DAW. Usually I use an interface into amplitube. This will allow me to make more use of my pedal board in real time, rather than reamping ..read more

I've got an Ampeg RB-110 with a balanced DI out. Can I connect that directly to PC without using a DI box? I want to be able to use Guitar Rig 7 to emulate amps and effects. The sound of the amp itself is great for bass, but I don't want to have its tone coloring the signal when I use guitar. If I need a DI box, what's a good inexpensive one that plays well with GR7 ..read more
