So was wondering if anyone has tried out a guitar fetish mustang bridge that they have thats a 9.5 radius and if it is drop in fit for fender thimbles because the sites dimensions say 74 mm post spacing but all info i have says that the fender spacing is 73 ... will they fit or will i waste my money buying them. Thanks ahead of time ! submitted by /u/No-Lengthiness-9428 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi all, I own this guitar: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/OmenE6Chr--schecter-omen-elite-6-electric-guitar-charcoal I love this thing to death, especially with all of the mods I’ve done to it over the past year or so. I’m thinking of adding a hipshot bridge to this now, despite it already having a hipshot style bridge - because why not. I’ve never tried the real thing before. Unhip shops website, there seem to be two options I can select for the fixed bridge: .125" floor height is designed for perfect action on guitars with non angled, low profile necks. .175" floor height is design ..read more

First time poster, long time tinkerer/lurker. I scored this weird hollowbody recently. The neck was bowed to hell and the electronics were shot. Seems like someone opted to turn it into wall art instead of making it playable - there was a nail through the headstock and a couple screw holes in the back. BUT, it looks rad and these old off-brand guitars are often missing the vibrato arm in my experience, so I say it's a great find for $75. I'm gonna bring this thing back to life. I got the fretboard off using a putty knife and a clothes iron on the highest setting, then rigged up the ridiculous ..read more

Any help on doing a quick fix on tuning pegs that are too tight?

Howdy I got a seagull that I'm trying to work with and the D string is almost impossible to get to the right note without extreme effort in turning the tuning pegs. Ive loosened the screws but it seems to keep getting stuck right around the tension of like B or C without me having to reposition the guitar to tune it. Any help would be lovely i tried googling but there doesnt seem to be much info on this given all of the results come in with the opposite info (i 've tried inversing the directions for loose tuning pegs.) submitted by /u/ecologyenjoyer [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Removing paint from jazz bass so I can stain

Hey y’all, I got a little starcaster jazz bass for free, I figured I’d remove the current paint on it and get it down to the wood so that I could stain it. What all should I be prepared to do to get the job done? I bought a heat gun and was going to go that route. After the paint is removed I guess I should remove the sealant so that I can stain. What’s the best way to do that? submitted by /u/popoi98 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
