A Fairfield County man was charged after allegedly sexually assaulting his neighbor when she went to his home to see if a package had been mistakenly delivered there. The incident occurred in Shelton on Wednesday, April 24. According to Det. Richard Bango of the Shelton Police, a 29-year-old woman, told police she went to the home of 76-year-old Dennis Barry, who lives next door to her, to check on a package. A teenager was killed and four others hospitalized in an overnight single-vehicle crash in Connecticut. It happened around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in Tolland County in the town of Willington. An officer-worn body camera was rolling when a Connecticut State Police trooper was struck by a car during a highway traffic stop. A Philadelphia man has been charged with making a false incident report telling police that his former girlfriend was being held at gunpoint in Connecticut. The incident occurred in Fairfield County on Sunday, March 17, around 8:30 a.m. According to Lt. A 21-year-old Fairfield County man wanted for car burglaries was apprehended after police chased him through a McDonald's restaurant and found him under a car in a grocery store parking lot.
