When Disco Calls You Answer
A 30th birthday party turned into a surprise engagement party! What could be better than this?
Asia and Boris partied the night away with their closest family and friends at what can only be described as the most vibrant and kick-ass location to plan a disco party. Coffee Dose is so trendy and fabulous. It’s the perfect mix of pretty in pink and a dash of ‘I don’t give a %*$#’ attitude. This night was vibrant and lavish and everyone came ready to party. Not one person wasn’t ready to turn back time and jump straight into an Abba dance party.
This party is the perfec ..read more

When You decide To Do Couples Photos After The Wedding
First thing first, remember that it’s your wedding and you make the rules. Long gone are the days when tradition is the norm. Couples no longer have to feel like they must do a bouquet toss, have everyone watch as they cut the cake, or even have a cake at all.
As we enter a new era of weddings, anything goes and the sky is the limit. Design the wedding that you’ve always wanted. Make it uniquely yours to look back on. Make it a statement and be proud of the day you’ve orchestrated.
What I want for you is to look back on your wedding day an ..read more

Why I Shoot Film At Every Wedding
When I first started photography it was all film. Digital wasn’t normal just yet. So when I started shooting weddings about 7 years ago and requests started to trickle in slowly year after year for film my whole thought process on weddings changed.
I never thought people would be interested in film for their wedding day considering all the advances we have today in camera equipment. But year after year the demand for analog became greater and greater. Now Super 8 wedding films. And camcorder films are popular now too! It’s an amazing wave of creativity i ..read more

Film photography and weddings go hand in hand now. It’s become so mainstream and normalized that the film industry has seen a huge surge. So big that it’s hard to keep up with all the new products, film stocks, and fun toy cameras being released regularly. Film is back and it’s incredible to see!
I have been shooting film for almost 15 years and to this day it still brings me the same amount of joy. There is nothing like hearing a shutter from a film camera. It is an instant crowd-pleaser and the ultimate conversation starter.
Film photography adds a level of nostalgia and fills the narrative ..read more

Living in San Diego means escaping the city is very easy. It’s one of the best places in the city. You have a busy urban life and then at the drop of a hat you can be in the desert, hiking trails in the forest, exploring sea caves, or hunting waterfalls in the mountains.
Nopalito Farms is on our list as one of the places to escape too. If you find yourself out in Valley Center, the farm is tucked away in a private valley littered with citrus trees, avocados, and fields of wildflowers.
When I met Coara and Josh, escaping the city to take a few deep breathe in nature was exactly what they wanted ..read more

We’ve gone through it all together. First, Chris and Jane invited me to photograph their engagement session out in Julian at their favorite cidery. It was so chilly but that didn’t stop us from spending a few hours getting to know each other over cider and taking photos in between it all. That day led to the sweetest elopement in Palm Springs, with just a few loved ones celebrating over a love for the Dodgers and munching on tacos.
Just this summer we wrapped things up with a grand celebration in Pasadena. Chris and Jane invited everyone they knew to celebrate their love and the next chapter o ..read more
