On a perfect Texas summer afternoon, Steve and Kelly gathered their closest family and loved ones to celebrate their wedding in Fort Worth. The couple chose a delightfully vibrant color palette with fuchsia and lavender rose bouquets, with crisp white accents. Kelly incorporated a special “something borrowed” by using her grandmother’s sorority pin to accentuate her bouquet. Steve opted for a classic black tux from Ralph Lauren, which was in stunning contrast to the bride’s intricate lace gown and cathedral veil from Allure Couture.  For their reception venue, Steve and Kelly chose the hi ..read more

As a professional wedding photographer for the past 16 years, I’ve learned a thing or two about my personal outfit preferences for long shoot days.  I’ve spent many wedding shoots begrudging my tight and impractical clothing choices from the morning of, and certainly had more than my fair share of blisters from bad footwear. Finding the perfect outfit that balances formalwear with functionality is rare and so when I find it, I try to pass it along. Below you’ll find my ultimate shopping guide to all of my go-to pieces that you can wear from backyard weddings to black-tie red carpet affair ..read more

Themes of timeless elegance and intentionality surrounded Matthew and Emalee’s much-anticipated wedding at the Ebell of Los Angeles. Amidst the grandeur of the Renaissance-style architecture, the Ebell was the absolute best wedding venue to reflect the couple’s vibrant spirits. Emalee specifically requested a Bridgerton-meets-Gossip-Girl aesthetic, and with the help of coordinator Renee Dalo of Moxie Bright Events, her wish was granted. A classic black and white color palette was chosen and expanded on, with florals from Winston & Main featuring crisp California poppies, roses, and orchids ..read more

Last fall, I hosted a special round of family photos mini sessions in the picturesque beauty of Trabuco Canyon.  This hidden gem of Orange County is a wilderness oasis that lies just north of Rancho Santa Margarita. Nestled in the heart of a quiet subdivision, it’s just a short trip from the coast and the area offers a wide range of scenery. From the green walking trail to smaller explorations into the oak and pine forest, it miraculously manages to stay green in the fall even after the scorching temperatures we always see over the summer.  Shooting at Trabuco Canyon turns the logist ..read more

I’m pretty sure there are few things more romantic than having your wedding ceremony on the sand, and documenting Dave and Jina’s Laguna Beach wedding totally proved that. The rarity of having their closest friends in one place to celebrate their love by the sea was not lost on the couple. Due to COVID and some unexpected family losses, their wedding was delayed several years from their original date. However, Jina’s mom was finally able to come in from Korea for the special intimate celebration.  Obviously, capturing sunset romantics was a main priority, as well as honoring each special ..read more

The Wayfarers Chapel is easily one of the most stunning wedding venues in all of California. Often referred to as “The Glass Church”, the Rancho Palos Verdes venue features a transparent glass atrium peering directly out to the grandiose redwood forest. This sacred sanctuary was designed by Los Angeles architect, Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright, with other notable creations including the shells of the Hollywood Bowl). Under this heavenly setting, Jim and Amy chose to begin their story and unite their families. It’s almost impossible to improve upon the immaculate natural beauty of the ..read more
