Sonic Fireworks has won the 2022 British Firework Championships in Plymouth. It’s the first time we have competed and we are the first local company to win the championships in the event’s 25 year history. Mike & Michelle Glover receiving their winners prize money On a wet and windy second night our crew worked hard from 8am in the morning to rig a very complex and technical display. We will be firing the second show on the second night (Thursday 18th August) subject to any last minute changes. The British Fireworks Championships are back in 2022 for its 25th anniversary. Six British fireworks companies will be competing over two nights in Plymouth. Each night has three displays lasting 10 minutes with a 10-minute break in-between, starting around 9:30 PM. In our first ever professional fireworks competition, we came second! The British Musical Fireworks Championship held in Southport is a prestigious UK competition for professional fireworks companies. Over the years, many of the UK’s top professional companies have competed, with some going on to compete in Global Fireworks Competitions. Five competitors came together to compete over the 24th to 26th September in Victoria Park, Southport. The only British fireworks championship dedicated to pyro-musical fireworks displays returns for 2021 in Southport. The three-night event over the weekend 24th – 26th September – attracts thousands. The famous Groupe F in France gave us a possible glimpse of the future of fireworks this month. The French Government tasked them to create a spectacular World-class low-noise fireworks display for Bastille Day in the air around the Eiffel Tower. Groupe F put their considerable artistic talents into maximum overdrive and came up with their ‘Take Off’ demonstrator.
