The condensed history and ongoing saga of my junk is here.
In the beginning, there was a couple of problems with winter life at the Hill.
Here is Mrs. and the big cat pretending to shovel out after I'd already, you know... shoveled out. Her fresh tire tracks/toasty warm ride evidence exhibits #1&2. ?? ...

Hi!
I think i need to raplace the friction wheel in my Yanmar YSR 70F, as something is slippping when i meet high recistance.
The friction wheel itself is available (though exepnsive), but I'm planning up on the job itself.
Been looking at the parts diagram, and it seems that the HEX-shaft (Number 4) goes into an external drive-ratio thing on the left side.
Does anyone have any experience in this? Do i have to remove the cover for the outside drive-ratio-thing to sneak the HEX-shaft out...

Hello to all in Snowblower world.
I am chasing some tracks to suit my old Yanmar YSR 1600 DX blower. The tracks are delaminating and breaking down and have had no luck chasing any parts/tracks here in Australia.
The only info on the tracks is the Bridgstone logo and a “A-13”molded on the inside of the track .Outside circumfrence is 2600 mm x 275 mm wide with a 72 mm pitch at 42 links.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I've found a 2006 YSR 70F for sale. Price seems interesting for such a machine : 650€.
The blower looks clean but I'm worried about the brand. Can I find parts easily ? Is it built to endure like Hondas or other brands ?
I've found a 2011 Husqvarna St61e in a very clean state for a couple hundred euros more... But the wheels and my 20degrees Access road is worrying me too...
Thx for any tips/insight.
Here's the blower :

Hey everyone I am from Australia (no snow at all there where I live) and we recently have bought a house in Niseko, Japan. Some of the lightest and best snow in the world ? (not this season ? )
My mum and me are looking to spend up to 700,000 -950,000 yen (6 - 8.5k USD)
what is the best brand and what models do you recommend.
Is diesel or petrol better?
I have about I would say 50 -80 car parks full of snow to clear,
Thank you so much everyone ..read more
