There are a few rivers that are especially important to me.  The South Llano is one of those.  I spent a few years living in Rocksprings and Junction, and have fished that river for countless hours.  As little as I get to get back and fish there and as much as each flood changes the river, I still find these waters familiar and comforting.   Climate change and human water usage are the greatest threats to any river in our state, but intentional, man-made changes for personal benefit, just seem pretty selfish and devastating to me.  I would love to hear your thoug ..read more

I have to write this post to apologize.  I am sorry. I have neglected Texas Freshwater Fly Fishing for the last few months and only kept up with the bare minimum to keep it running.  I haven't written, I haven't shared, I haven't done much to manage the Facebook Group.  Heck, I haven't even gone fishing.   And for all that, I am sorry. For years, Texas Freshwater Fly Fishing was growing and improving all the time, and I was working hard to make it even better.  I was on a roll there for a while.  I was burning with fire, doing everything I could to make TFFF ..read more
