Fishing on Eagle Mountain Lake has been insane! The channel catfish are fired up, the blue catfish are coming off the beds and starting to bite (and we’ve had some big fish show up in the past few weeks). The white bass are on the move in the main lake and we’re starting to see some topwater action some mornings! Catfish and White Bass We’re catching excellent numbers of white bass, channel catfish, and blue catfish on our guided fishing trips and have limited out on most of our recent trips. The quality of the catfish has been off the charts as well! The catfish bite will continue to stay goo ..read more

It’s that time of year, the channel catfish are fired up and the white bass are on the move in the main lake! We’re catching excellent numbers of white bass, channel catfish and blue catfish and have limited out on most of our recent trips. The bite will continue to improve over the next week and there will be lots of action with BIG FAT CHANNEL CATFISH over the next month, it’s one of my favorite patterns of the year to fish, the June channel catfish bite. Most days the white bass are bunched up and feeding heavily and that will only improve as the weather and water continues to warm. If you ..read more

It’s been a while since I posted an updated fishing report, I got a little behind with the holidays and have been crazy busy fishing! We’re still in a great bite this winter and are offering both trophy catfish trips and trips fishing for numbers (more action). We’re running about a 96% success rate on trophy catfish trips and on the “eater catfish” trips were catching a ton of good quality channel catfish and blue catfish (and even some bigger fish) most days. The bite is really light and it can take some time to get in tune with it but when clients pay attention and follow instructions we’re ..read more

The October and early November fishing here in Fort Worth was yet again, nothing short of amazing. We’re catching excellent numbers of blue and channel catfish and have some big trophy blue catfish showing up as well.  Over the past week, the quality of the fish has been off the charts for both blue and channel catfish and fishing remains excellent. As long as the wind blows a little the bite is awesome (which is typical, catfish like the wind). With the big cold front arriving today and strong north wind, the water temperatures should drop really quickly. I’ll start turning my attention ..read more

The July fishing here in Fort Worth was simply nothing short of amazing and I fully expect this bite will continue through August and September. We’ve been consistently catching excellent numbers of channel catfish and blue catfish daily. There’s a lot of one to five-pound catfish with a lot of small throwback fish mixed in and some occasional larger fish. WE HAVE BOATED OVER 825 FISH LAST WEEK ALONE AND THAT’S JUST ON MY BOAT! We offer guided fishing trips on a number of lakes in the DFW area but we’re fishing on Eagle Mountain Lake in Fort Worth right now. There’s a video below with a quick ..read more

It’s that time of year, the channel catfish are firing up and the white bass are on the move! The bite will continue to improve over the next couple of weeks and so far we’ve been producing excellent catches of channel catfish. The white bass bite was on fire and then they’ve kind of scattered over the past few days but now that we’re coming out of the full moon they’ll bunch back up again and the bite should be amazing again very soon! If you want fast action and lots of numbers of channel catfish and or white bass, now is the time, May, June, and July. Summer trips are half-day mornings (4 h ..read more

It’s that time of year. The blue catfish are on fire and they will only continue to improve over the next week or two. If you’re looking for fast action and lots of numbers of blue catfish, now is the time. The spring blue catfish bite usually runs through April and sometimes into May (it all depends on the weather and how quickly it warms up). It doesn’t get any better than right now for catching numbers of blues and of recent we’re still catching some trophy catfish mixed in as well. The bigger fish typically begins to slow down some when it gets into April. It’s one of my favorite times of ..read more
