Gerard Butler says he “almost killed” Hilary Swank during one of the most iconic scenes in their 2007 tear-jerking romantic drama P.S. I Love You.
During an appearance this week on The Drew Barrymore Show, Butler explained how he’d gone into the movie with the utmost care and respect for Swank, but he still ended up accidentally injuring her.
“I remember saying to the director, ‘I’m not going to think about myself in this movie, I’m only going to think about her, make sure she’s okay, she’s cool. ‘Because that’s kind of who this guy was. I’ve got to tell you, it made the experience so much mo ..read more

If you’ve seen Jim Gaffigan’s new movie Linoleum directed by Colin West, you might have grasped what happened during the ending right away. Or, if you’re like me, you might have debated what the ending means with your partner for a while afterward.
In either case, worry not — I asked Jim Gaffigan to explain it to me once and for all, and he kindly obliged.

Dave Bautista once dreamed of playing Bane, one of Batman’s iconic arch-nemeses played by Tom Hardy in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises. But now the Knock at the Cabin star says those dreams are dead.
In an interview with Insider, Bautista explained why he’s given up on his crusade to convince DC bosses to give him the part.
For one thing, he’s spoken to new DC Studios co-head James Gunn, and he understands that to sign on to play Bane in the new DC Universe would be a 15-year commitment. That’s something Dave Bautista, 54, is okay with passing on.
“I have had conversations with James [Gunn] about ..read more

Billy Eichner’s new gay rom-com, Bros, makes him the first openly gay man to co-write and star in any major studio film. It’s also the first gay rom-com ever made by a major studio, period, Eichner says.
“Hollywood took a century to make this film,” Billy Eichner told Variety in his new cover story. “That’s not my fault — that’s Hollywood’s fault for taking this fucking long.”
“It’s the first gay rom-com ever made by a major studio, the first with an all openly LGBTQ cast, and very, very strangely, I’m the first openly gay man to ever write and star in his own studio movie of any genre,” Eichn ..read more

Jamie Lee Curtis almost passed on Everything Everywhere All at Once, the film for which she just won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, her first Oscar.
But Russell Goldman — a 27-year-old writer-director behind short films like “Return to Sender” and “No Comment” who is also the head of Curtis’ production company Comet Pictures — was so enthusiastic about The Daniels‘ script that Curtis decided to reconsider taking the part in the absurdist comedy-drama, in which she plays persnickety IRS inspector Deirdre Beaubeirdre.
“I will tell you something. There is someone I employ, who I’ve been l ..read more

Harrison Ford is completely confident that his fifth and final Indiana Jones movie will “kick your ass.”
“I’m very proud to say that this one is fantastic,” Ford said at Disney’s D23 Expo on Saturday. “And this is one of the reasons,” he added, pointing to his co-star, Fleabag actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who was standing beside him.
The 80-year-old actor began to get emotional as he waxed poetic about what the adventure franchise means to him and all of the fans.
“Indiana Jones movies are about mystery and adventure, but they’re also about heart,” he said. “We have a really human story to te ..read more
