Six athletes from Evolution Martial Arts in Boston, Lincolnshire have successfully been selected to represent Kickboxing Team GB at the European and World Kickboxing Championships later this year. Three junior athletes will be competing for Team GB at the Junior European Kickboxing Championships and three senior athletes will be competing for Team GB at the Senior World Kickboxing Championships. On Sunday 9th July, a team from Evolution Martial Arts travelled to Market Rasen to compete in the Lincolnshire Open 2023. The competition was exciting and tough with over 200 entries from over 20 different clubs. After some fantastic performances from our students we finished with an impressive 22 medals including 8 Golds, 10 Silvers and 4 Bronze as well as 5 Runner Ups. On Sunday 25th June 2023, a team from Evolution Martial Arts travelled to Peterborough to compete in the Peterborough Championships. The competitors representing Evolution Martial Arts in Boston had some exceptional performances and results to place 3rd in the Overall Club Medal Tally. Evolution Martial Arts finished with an impressive 11 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals along with 5 Runner Ups. On Sunday 18th June 2023, Nesta Baxter travelled to Budapest in Hungary to represent Evolution Martial Arts and compete in the 28th Hungarian Kickboxing World Cup. At the World Cup there were 43 nations, 333 clubs and 2024 athletes all competing at this world-class tournament. Nesta won a Bronze Medal in the Senior Female -65kg Light Continuous category after successfully making her way to the Semi Finals where she came up against the reigning European Champion of the category from Slovenia. On the weekend of the 13th and 14th of November 2021, a team of competitors from Evolution Martial Arts in Boston, Lincolnshire travelled to the Harvey Hadden Sports Centre in Nottingham. They took part in the WAKO Kickboxing British National Championships which had over 70 clubs in attendance from across the United Kingdom. The WAKO Kickboxing Junior and Cadet World Championships 2022 were held on the week of the 1st of October to the 9th of October in Jesolo, Italy. After successful selection for a place on the Great Britain Team, three young kickboxers from Evolution Martial Arts were competing at this event. On the weekend of the 12th and 13th of February members of Evolution Martial Arts travelled to the WAKO Kickboxing British National Championships 2022 which were held at the Harvey Hadden Sports Centre in Nottingham. On Sunday 19th March 2023, Nesta Baxter travelled to Innsbruck in Austria to represent Evolution Martial Arts and compete in the Austrian Classics World Cup. At the World Cup there were 32 nations, 85 clubs and 1337 athletes all competing at one of the most renowned competitions in the world.
