Born on 28 March 1962, Dean was regarded as one of the best and toughest players of his generation from the Belhar and Elsies River areas of Cape Town. There are 10 DHL Western Province players in the 31-player Junior Springbok touring group for the inaugural Under-20 Rugby Championship in Australia, that was announced by SA U20 head coach Bafana Nhleko on Thursday. SA Rugby on Wednesday announced the appointment of experienced rugby administrator and businessman, Mr Peter Jooste, as the new administrator of the Western Province Rugby Football Union (WPRFU). Mother of DHL Stormers Head Coach John and wife of the late Paul, who devoted his life to the game as a referee, writer and coach, Margaret will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched.
