Hi everyone, I have a beautiful and lovely natured lab Willow, who just turned 1. Training in the early days was really easy, she loves to please, loves cuddles, obsessed with food. However the last 4/5 weeks she is like a different dog!!! She seems to have forgotten everything she has ever been taught, jumps on the table and just looks at me, starting chewing things again but mainly she has started barking. Usually right in my ear. I so far have just totally ignored it, rewarded her when... 1 year old lab Willow ..read more

Lately when we take Gordon out to do his business he will start to poop but then starts peeing at the same time. I don't think he has any idea he is doing it as it usually goes all over his front paws. Could this actually be him marking his territory? Does anyone else's puppy do this ..read more

We got a yellow lab puppy when he was about 9 weeks old. His name is Samson. He is now 15 weeks old and for the past 2 weeks he's been showing aggressive behavior, and it's been getting Worse! It seems whenever he wants attention, which is almost all the time, he'll come up to us and start barking.. if we don't respond right away he then starts nipping and barking. Then when we say NO! he goes into full on biting and growling and barking. This happens multiple times a day. I've... HELP! Aggressive 15 week old lab!! (NOT play ..read more

Hi, I was about to put a deposit down on a litter due by the end of the month, that will be ready to bring home around Christmas time. However, I don't think I've potty trained a dog in the winter before and was wondering, for the lab breed, how much harder is it to housebreak in the middle of winter? We live in Michigan, so our winters can be long and cold, not warming up until april-ish. Thanks ..read more

Hi there. We are new to the fourm as we have a new puppy Bailey (chocolate lab) who is 4 months old. This past weekend, her one ear seems to have developed a fold and doesn't sit flat like your typical lab ear. The other ear is fine. May be a silly question, but is this normal in puppies? Will it return to laying flat as she grows? Both ears are clean and there is no sign of an infection. If anyone has any experience with this I would appreciate your input. Thanks ..read more

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a bit of advice and reassurance. We've a 5 month old Lab at home. He absolutely loves being outside when we eventually get him to leave the house. As soon as we mention "walk" he either crates himself and refuses to come out for treats or toys or hides in a corner lying down. We've tried to change things up with a collar and a harness. Put them on him in the house and walked around the garden with them on and he seems fine. He's had no issues when being walked... 5 month old refuses to leave the house ..read more

As pet parents, we want that balance of being with our family (our dog) but also not having a home that looks messy and full of fibres of love (dog hair). My husband and I made a dog mat to help with our older female dog who was suffering minor leaks, but we wanted to have some fun with it, and now we want to share it with other lab lovers. Kenny is proudly showing it off. Its ecofriendly, reusable, waterproof and completely washable. We have washed ours over and over and it still looks...
