Today is my old man’s birthday. He squirrel hunts with me on mine and I fish with him on his. Caught fish from the time we got there to the time we left. Kept the green fish to piss off the poets and threw back about as many hybrids and stripers. Attached Images   ..read more

Delayed posting, been having trouble getting on the site. Brandon had a tough Florida swing this year, 66th on the Harris Chain and 59th on St. John’s river. Currently sitting in 80th in AOY for next years Classic, with 5 more events remaining. Hopefully he can get things turned around starting next week on Murray ..read more

Looking to upgrade my electronics. My boat came with a 1st gen lowrance hook 6. Wanting to step up to at least a 9in model. Will mostly be used for stripers in downscan/nav mode. I've been eying the Garmin 93sv with gt54. Budget will be around 1k but I could go up if needed. Also looked at the hummingbird helix 9in, but it cost twice as much as the Garmin. Is the bird going to that much better ..read more

Headed over this Sunday for a week of fishing haven’t been there in about 4 years. I assume the bass and hybrids will be on points chasing herring. Are out toward the main lake points or still in the back of the creeks. I also assume a Carolina rig on rocky points will fill the boat up with 10-12 inch spotted bass. Will be staying at soap creek and will mainly fish soap creek, little river, haw creek, wells creek and plum branch. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Monk monk ..read more

I already spoke with some of you around Santee, and I appreciate the advice. Just got 2 off the line and laying back down. Started with blue backs cut, and some shiners. Eventually went o all live perch and bream as they started coming to the lights. Kids tore them up earlier. Didn't have any luck with the hearing. Caught 2 small ones early on with he shiners. Are you fishing deep? Shallow? To my shock these last 2 came out of about 4' of water. I'm static on the pier, so I have what I have to work with in terms of water depth ..read more

Brandon just finished up the Classic in Tulsa, wound up 19th. Said he caught a lot of fish just never any big ones. He’s had a bumpy start to the year. Finished 87th at Toledo Bend and 47th at lake Fork. Sitting in 74th in AOY for next years Classic, they head to Florida for a couple events and then to Murray, hopefully he can get the season turned around. Patrick Walters is off to a good start and in 3rd for AOY. Justin Hamner won the classic, seems like a really good guy. Was cutting grass for a living a couple years back. Anyway, a lot of turmoil around the sport right now with FFS, not sur ..read more

From seven years ago. Andy Morgan takes a little kid fishing and gives him some fishing lessons. Today on Lake Fork the kid, Trey McKinney, won the BassMasters tournament with 130 lbs in 4 days. He is the youngest Bassmaster to ever qualify, much less win an event. He turned 19 last Monday ..read more
