My uncle bought some property that has a spring-fed pond/lake in North Escambia county. It’s probably 2 acres of water. It seems to have plenty of bream and small bass but no catfish. I was thinking of catching catfish and putting them in there.
I assume it legal first of all. Is this a good idea? Any tips on catching some small catfish in either Escambia Or Perdido River? My boat is a 24’ carolina skiff without a trolling motor. I have a color Garmin bottom machine that is over ten years...

In the river backwater this morning using the little river rise helping hand with enough water to navigate in the swamp. Couple of hours fishing a swamp lake that did not produce a fisho of any kind. So back to the river (videoo of return through th swamp) ,
One small cat and a beauiful small snapping turtle that was released caught from the river.

I used to live in Tallahassee and would fish the Ochlocknee river. Catching bream in that shallow river would take 30 minutes to get enough to fish with. We’d use worms with a 3/4 ounce weight to get them down to the bottom on structure in the main channel. I now live close to the Perdido river and was wondering what the easiest flathead bait is to catch and what are y’all’s techniques for getting them ..read more

I was trying to ID a Sunfish I caught and came across this website. You can filter for various locations, drainages, fish anatomy,...
After looking through a bunch of the baitfish pictures, I think I might add a blocthy black stripe to a few lures. What do you guys think?
