We are not far off from the annual kids fishing gear giveaway. Last year a few of you wanted to contribute. It’s as simple as a gift card. If you want to contribute to kids fishing gear giveaway PM me. Additionally, when the kids giveaway thread gets posted lets get as many kids as possible entered. We had a few miss seeing the thread last year and their kids missed the opportunity. Batjack reminded me this started a few years back when I found a couple new unused reels in my gear storage... Just thought I would let people know. If you go up the creek right when you turn off the main lake heading up towards Seminole State Park there are two stumps in the middle of the channel. Never thought I’d hit a stump in the channel but we did yesterday during my son’s high school tournament. No leaks but put a hurting on the hull and now we have a wired vibration in the prop when accelerating. Hoping it’s just the hub ..read more

FIRST LEGAL BASS OF 2023

Finally! Since the bigger bluegills aren't biting lately, I'm fishing for bass. Getting a bit of action but from not-quite-legal bass or the bigger bass are throwing the hook or whatever. Toward the very end of my fishing today I caught this one on a drop-shot rig (from the bank) using a twister-tail soft plastic. There were more bass its size in the vicinity, but I had to leave to beat the rush-hour traffic home. Not a pretty fish because I'm fishing clear water so that doesn't bring out... Hello, I have been looking for a few new bodies of water to learn. I usually fish Banks Lake, Paradise PFA, and the Satilla River. I was trying to figure out if Lake Mayers and Lake Tara are open to the public. From what I've read I'm almost positive Lake Mayers is open to fish, I just want to be sure because there isn't any recent literature, everything I've found out about it is from the 2000s and early 2010s. Lake Tara, I have no idea. parcel data shows that the lake itself and a small... Read more ..read more

Where to fish for Catfish in West Georgia?

Hello, I am tired of going to lakes for catfish, spending hours without catching catfish. If you know any lake, dam or reservoir where I can fish for catfish in any city in West Georgia, I will really appreciate it . I don't mind paying to fish as long as I will catch catfish for eating and I don't mind the driving. Lake Carroll just restock the lake with catfish but they are little ..read more
