Hello! Thank you for contacting us! To update the firmware via WiFi, the IS20 must first be connected to a router with an internet connection. If you try to update the firmware without connecting the IS20 to the Internet, the error message “Firmware Verification Failed: 52” will be displayed. To update the firmware via USB, connect the IS20 to the computer via USB, press and hold the power button, then press the OK button after 1-2 seconds (the OK button must be pressed before the screen turns on). The IS20 should display a blue screen with the message “Bootloader” and two new disk drives shou ..read more

I am trying to update the firmware on a IS20 showing Firmware version V2.00.230731 (1939). When I try to do it via WiFi I get a Check Firmware Failed: 52. Not sure what the means.
When I try to update it via usb the process of connecting the unit to my windows computer via USB and then pressing the power button for 2 seconds followed by the OK button seems to do nothing. The IS20 just starts ups as usual.
How do I update the firmware on this unit?

The cable connecting the Transponder and Splitter is short about 15-30 cm. I’ll try a longer one tomorrow and come back to you ..read more

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue with your device. Is there a way you could check the VSWR value and email it to us, please?
Also, could I ask, how long is the cable which is connecting the transponder to the splitter? Do you have another cable you could try (preferably a longer cable) to see if there is any change? Thank you ..read more

After many tests I realize that I have purchased the wrong device. Even when immobilized, the heading output varies within a range of about 5 degrees, continuously. This cannot drive an autopilot, independently from the issue of the update frequency. I realize now that I have purchased the wrong product, because for my purcpose I should have purchased your other product: Quark-Elec AS08 This product will be more than perfect for driving my Raymarine smartpilot. I have got AS08 in hand now, but it won’t talk to my Smartpilot S3, any idea?
