I have a Hondex 121 plotter /sounder combo . Am I retarded or is there no way to enter gps #s and name them ? They guys in rockland told me to move the cursor until it was on the #s I wanted and then mark the spot and number it ! We have a GSD26 and a R599 connected to. We also have a B744 which is not used. I've tried to connect the brown/shield and white wire of the B744 (correspond to the temperature sensor) to the GSD26, but impossible to read the temperature on the display. Any idea why ? We have a Raymarine xcdr CPT-S installed, but we do not use it (our main depthfinder is a GSD 26 with a R599 but of course without temperature). The CPT-S xdcr has a temperature sensor, and i would like to read the temperature. Seems that the use of a Element or Axiom is mandatory, but i would like to know if there is any smart solution to read the measurement without the installation of an additional display. I am installing new gauges: tach, temp, oil pressure, voltmeter, etc, etc. The old gauges are long in the tooth, and some are failing. The original gauge wiring behind the panel is hard to work with in general, and I need to change it. The old gauges use spade connectors, and the new gauges use a harness that plugs into each gauge directly.
