Perfect Pairing: 2024 Edition

The weather is getting warmer and I’ve had a few requests for my annual Perfect Pairing post. A white or ivory top with jeans is chic yet comfortable and can be worn anywhere. It can go from the work day to the weekend and from walking the dog to date night. If it’s chilly, add a blazer or light coat. If it’s hot, switch out the flats for sandals.  I’ve also included great new bags for spring and shoes, as well as beauty products to finish the look and everything can be found at Saks. The perfect place to find your perfect pairing. I own this Lace Cuff Blouse. You can wear it buttoned h ..read more

Since I moved to NYC 23 years ago, Bloomingdale’s has always been a part of my life. I visit the iconic store less in person now since it’s so easy to shop online but they also offer free services like buy online pickup in store, in-store or curbside pickup, personal stylists and personal shoppers, in-personal and virtual, as well as $20 same day delivery. Perfect for when you need a last minute outfit or gift. Since we’re coming up on event season of Mother’s Day, graduations, bridal showers, vacations, and more, I’ve picked out some of my favorite blue and white dresses from Bloomingdale’s ..read more

Eyeing, Buying, and Trying: April 2024 Birthday Edition

This is a multifaceted post so buckle up. It encompasses some of the new things I bought myself for my birthday which was yesterday (April 18th) and how I’m wearing these things with pieces I already own. Sometimes, I wonder if you are bored of my posting the same Toteme trench coat I bought in fall 2022 and other pieces but I think it’s important to show items that were great investments and I’m how styling them now. I also like showing you how I’m mixing and matching old pieces in case you bought them too and want to know how to update them each season. This post can also be used as referen ..read more

Chic Neutral Vacation Edit

I’ve flirted with color recently but I can’t escape my comfort zone of neutrals. Beige doesn’t have to be boring when you mix it with chic textured accessories and Net-a-Porter has the best options whether you are heaving to East Hampton or Essaouira. For the plane or car ride, I’d start with the cream Ribbed Wool and Cashmere-blend Sweater and white Pleated Crepe Wide-leg Pants with tan Embellished Leather Sandals. For travel, I love carrying a crossbody bag like the Leather-trimmed Raffia Shoulder Bag with my wallet and passport while the medium Leather-trimmed Raffia Tote can double as you ..read more

April is definitely not the cruelest month this year. There are so many great things to see, do, watch, and try whether you are experiencing beautiful spring weather or are hiding out from April showers. I’m sure many of you are familiar with Matouk linens and will be excited to know that they just opened House of Matouk at 20 East 67th Street on the Upper East Side. You can check out their design partnerships, order customized linens, or make an appointment for expert advice. They are open Monday through Saturday 9:30am to 6:00pm and Sunday 11:00am to 5:00pm. The chic Parisian reseller ReS ..read more

ME+EM has some beautiful pastel shades of lilac and pale lemon that will brighten your spirits on even the dreariest spring day. As is the case with so many of their pieces, you can mix and match them to create multiple different outfit combinations. This is especially helpful when you are packing for a trip. I love this pretty pastel lilac Merino Cashmere Silk Lace Stitch Tee mixed with the soft Textured Cotton-Blend Skirt. When it’s chilly, put on the matching Textured Cotton-Blend Crop Jacket or throw it over your shoulders. The Pearl Detail Nappa Kitten Sandal is the perfect shoe for all ..read more

I posted this travel advice post in summer 2023 but I thought it might be good to update it and repost it again as people head off to spring break and start making their summer travel plans for 2024. Most of the questions I’m asked each week inevitably end up being travel related so I thought I would put a post together with all my tips, tricks, advice, product suggestions, and more. I will regularly update and revise this post as I think of more things too. Where are you going and when? As you may have read or seen on Instagram, Europe is still having a heyday thanks to the exchange rate and ..read more

New and Noteworthy: March 2024

I started the March New and Noteworthy post earlier in the month but got sidetracked. It actually worked out well since I was able to add a few more things that should be on your radar this month. We could really use more hotels on the Upper East Side so I hope someone builds or converts one soon. In the meantime, the Firmdale Hotels group just opened the Warren Street Hotel in Tribeca if you need another place to stay downtown. Last week, I stopped by the Attersee Studio to see the new spring collection. The navy and blue pieces are perfect for transitional weather this month. The Everyday ..read more
