Strong Money?

This seems like very strong money for a high mile car that seems to need major bodywork if the visual rust on the lower B pillars is anything to go by.  Is this where SC's are at now?  £53,500 at the moment.  https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1977-porsche-911-sc-1?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paid_cpc&utm_campaign=ccuk_aware_views_retarget&fbclid=IwAR3u0IyScrcq-vj3vwiANLGUhM7n1KrBWOBV-E3mSEoyFkCP9komclkdaJ0_aem_AW42P3ZhDXkt5EgLTzMZy54L7O6fbdj5cfWzGb8qhvXARg2cUjGYU-32vyBxUZu2F8WjEL91SwIzkIPxksYZJXfy ..read more

I've owned quite a few Porsche cars over the years but the SC/Impact bumper cars were my "poster car" growing up in the 70s and early 80s and at 58 I decided I better scratch the itch. My preference was for a Coupe and long term I think I'll end up with one of those but I'd been messed around with the sale of my 993 and when I saw this Hellblau SC Targa advertised at Ashgood Porsche I approached them and enquired about the possibility of a deal involving my car. Anyway they were interested and a deal was struck!  Today was collection day! Car drove well on the 120mile trek home and got qu ..read more

Bonnet Seal Leak
Impact Bumpers Forums » Porsche 911 SC

Have ripped out entirety of under bonnet to try and get to source of leak into foot well (pooling under pedals plus soaking carpet). Windscreen leak eliminated.  When I pour water into seal around area of fresh air intake it fails to flow away to the sides as I assume it is supposed to....... Instead, it sits in the seal until it overflows at the back and so finds its way into the footwell. Seal is relatively new and looks good. Should I attempt to raise / bend up the centre area in order to make the seal at that point higher? Should the seal in fact be tight to the bonnet so preventing w ..read more

Hoping someone might be able to give some advise on '80 Targa door glass fitting and not sure of the correct procedure. I have to refit the glass lift channel (this has the white plastic guide thing) but not sure if these are fitted to the glass off the car and then the whole lot dropped into the door or should the channel be fitted into the door and located onto the lifter arms and then the glass is dropped in and pressed on? This cars been apart so long I don't recall   Cheers Martin ..read more

New fuel injector lines

For early SCs with the black plastic fuel injector lines I saw a thread on Pelican from someone looking to replace his fuel injector lines because one of them had cracked and leaked.  I hadn’t realised they deteriorated much so was interested.  One of the options for new was this kit made in UK by Hel (link below)which I thought was worth copying here https://auto.helperformance.com/hel-braided-fuel-injector-lines-for-porsche-911-sc ..read more
