Good evening all. My father who is 74 years old asked if I could make a post for his 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera to see what people think it might be worth, as he is thinking about selling the car in the near future. As you might imagine, with him being 74 years years old, he isn't the greatest with technology and computers, adding pictures to forums and so forth... so he asked if I could do it for him. A little bit of information would be that my father is located just north of the Seattle area and bought the car around 5 years ago now. As mentioned, it's a 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera with the orig ..read more

Hey guys. I have these wheels and I am trying to find out if they’re oem or some type of aftermarket replica. They have markings that make me feel like they would be oem but no official part number typical of a Porsche wheel. Anyone think they know? Any help is appreciated. Thank you! They are 17x7.5 square, but the two are ET23 and two are ET52. I’ll post some pics ..read more

Hi! I replaced my original steering wheel with an Autodromo and reconnected the wire as it was and it doesn’t work. I feel like I have to run a second wire between the steering wheel and ??? to ensure grounding because because there's an aluminum spacer between the steering wheel and the hub. What would you recommend ..read more

Always blown away by how inventive we are with our cars, to personalize them Would love to see your pictures of how you use the cigarette lighter? With fewer people smoking in our cars...Is it really limited to just USB ports to charge our phones? Wondering what to do with that hole in my dash ..read more

Good morning Forum! I'm working on the restoration of a 1972 Porsche 911E Coupe, a pretty unique car in a very special Gulf Blue/36 color. The car was just painted and is coming along beautifully, it's my first time seeing a Gulf Blue coupe in person and I'm absolutely in love with the color. I'm working on some of the details of the car now and I'm in doubt about the ''US Equipment'' option that you can find on the CoA. Can anybody here help me to better understand what this means exactly? I'm curious about how this option affects the car on some details like headlights (US or Euro?), front ..read more

Hi Guys, I’m working through some maintenance on my 1983 sc. the bills I’ve paid so far are already nauseating, but I’m at the final stage. what’s fair for carerra chain tensioners to be installed? I’ve already bought the kit, through the shop. So, just the labor to install, I’m being quoted $2,800. So, this is in addition to the $1200 or so, I’ve paid for the kit. does this seem high? Let me know what you guys think, I’m already at 15k for what seemed like not a tremendous amount of work, so I’m hesitant to get this done, if the estimate seems high. Let me know, I could use a second opinion ..read more

1977 911 vs 1977 Carrera 3.0 question

I know that the carrera3.0 are more rare, but also more expensive than the 911S. I know the C3.0 was one of Hans Mezger's favorite cars and his family still has his. I have found a 1977 911 that has the 930 rear quarters/wing and the engine has been built to 3.0L, so its a pseudo C3.0 So if i chose the 911 over an actual C3.0 what would I be missing? I'm looking for a driver not something I'm going to stare at. I understand that the value of the 911 isn't going to be as high as the C3.0 ..read more

Recently I came across a 991 GT3RS that was wrecked at the track. 4000 miles and still holds a clean title, and they are asking $135,000. Want to get a general consensus and hear options before I consider attempting the fix. Here is what the listing says: "PLEASE READ AD BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS.
