Hey group, I haven't posted in a good while. I did some searching but couldn't find what I was looking for. Truck threw a P0442 code right before inspection time. I changed the purge valve (front of the engine, I had changed the canister valve under the spare a few years ago). Cleared the code, passed inspection all was well. Then it threw a P0171 and P0174 and the P0442 again. Took it to my AAA guys because they "usually" do pretty good work. They changed the MAF and purge valve for $1K. Hi, Went to change my fuel filter today and was excited to tackle an easy job. I saw on YouTube that there is a cover on the drivers side undertray that allows access. I found the cover, and undid the T20 bolts that secured it and saw... Nothing! No fuel filter. No fuel lines, no nothing. Is the fuel filter on US versions of the 2019 XC90 in a different place? My 2011 XC90 D5 auto cut out while driving. Coasted to a stop and the car would not start with the key, despite the engine cranking. I waited a few minutes and it started. However, going over 20mph, the car would cut out again. I called the AA and the chap said there were no error codes, but said the fuel pump was making odd noises. I limped home keeping under 15mph, with the AA van behind me. The car cut out again when going up hills, as I guess I was pushing the engine harder. Again, after a few minutes it would start again. I am posting this as our mechanic/friend was finally able to locate the cause of our coolant leak. I had previously taken the car to Volvo and they said there was no leak (even though I was having to add coolant/water - was getting the "turn car off low coolant" message - and pictures my mechanic took show coolant residue). As a matter of fact, Volvo said there is no leak since it passed a pressure test. My mechanic also there didn't seem to be a leak when under pressure. Just posting my recent problem and describing the solution in case this occurs to others. I bought the XC90 used a few years ago with a bit over 90k miles, now has a bit over 100k miles on it. I had no idea what the history on maintenance was, so had it thoroughly checked over last summer, did timing belt, some brake work, some other driveline work, etc. All done by a good independent mechanic. Just bought my XC90 recharge T8 engine (ultimate) 2023. Mileage is only 8000km. After I park my car I saw heavy oil leakage at the back under the car. When I looked closely I found the leak coming I believe from the twin engine motor. (See attach photo) No damage or incident happened and no error message from the car.
