What’s your story? Are you the drunk victim in your sorry tale or are you the sober celebrity in your wild bestseller? You can create your own story if you have the will and the self-knowledge. Do the work and your four-dimensional being will thank you – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
The one thing that keeps us from learning about ourselves is alcohol. Alcohol blurs the edges, consumes our brains, and sours our spirits. Drinking disempowers our emotions, and we feel negative, depressed, angry, resentful, and dishonest. Telling your story is about looking inward: do you fe ..read more

Visiting my alcoholic mom is not easy. I have learned how to make it easier, for me. So, there I was, visiting my alcoholic mom again, two years later, on my own, in another world from the last time I was there. This time, Mom is in a home, her final home in life…. She calls it The Waiting Room. That is sad. But it is also true.
Visiting my alcoholic mom is very different from visiting an old friend – with mom, I stay for 30 minutes and that feels like 3 hours. The conversation remains on the surface, like the oily twirl of stale milk on a cold mug of coffee. The subject is shallow and fraught ..read more

Choose the Aromas of Roasted Beans Over the Bouquets of Chardonnay
This is the year of awakening and enlightenment – it’s time to swap wine glasses for coffee mugs. It’s time to awaken numbed palates with the rich, robust notes of coffee beans and creamy foam instead of the sweet-sour wafts of Merlot.
“Coffee for wine? Isn’t that sacrilege?” Remember that this swap is not about ditching one pleasure for another – it’s about being brave, knowing what is right and trying new habits to boot the old. Come on, indulge in the aromatic wonders of freshly brewed coffee and pour that wine down t ..read more
