Don’t worry, with all these updates we still offer a relaxed evening with free tickets to each performance. Also new this season, starting with VEAL, every reading will have Open Captioning! We heard from a lot of audience members that they love the reading series fo ..read more

— Anna Kay, Artist and Audience Services Manager Through polling and conversations with colleagues and acquaintances, we’ve compiled some feedback from patrons in their 20s and 30s about their experience with and opinion of the Jungle. From awkward show experiences to unattainable pricing and practices there is some reasonable hesitancy from young folks in the Twin Cities to engage with theater. As a person in their mid-twenties, I’m excited to make the Jungle more accessible, welcoming and fun for people my age. Let’s be real, we all experience the world a little bit differently and theater ..read more

Celebrating 25 Years on Lyndale

In February 1999, the Jungle Theater opened the doors of our 2951 Lyndale location, moving a few storefronts down, transforming our building into the intimate theater that has impacted the Twin Cities’ theater scene with its reputation for excellence and commitment to high artistic standards. “I wanted an intimate space to produce simple productions and lavish a lot of care on them. I think of a rose. A rose is the size it is. You don’t need a bigger rose to enjoy it. Size isn’t the issue, it’s the integrity of the artistic experience.” — Bain Boehlke, Jungle Theater Founder Today 25 y ..read more

As we near the end of our inaugural Artistic Cohort and the deadline for 2023-2025 submissions, our current members share thoughtful reflections on the past two years and their time serving here at the Jungle Theater.
