Full time rear camera

Trying to get as much lined up ahead for our new B coach due in as soon as they can get enough parts together to get it out of the factory and to the dealer. My last several A coaches had rear view cameras. I really depended on them to see someone on my tail or if I was clear to change lanes. My new B has the standard backup camera but no full time rear view. I have installed a couple of the (rear view safety) hard wired cameras on A’s but they had lots of open space to work with. I’m thinking of using one of the wireless cameras and mount it inside flush against the rear window. This wou ..read more

Extended Service Contracts for new class B

Are extended service contracts for new Class B motorhomes a good idea? We have a one year warranty on coach, 3 years on chassis. The dealer is trying to sell us an extended service contract for $5500 for 5 years, including SafeRide RV Motor Club roadside assistance. We have three days to decide (new Coachmen Nova Li3 RB) so are soliciting opinions (and experience).  First time motorhome owners. Lots to learn. Thanks ..read more

New to this forum as I purchased this unit about two months ago. Have no idea whether this Born Free model is considered a Class B or Class C. Possibly a Class B+. It does have a sleeping area over the driver's compartment which I think normally makes it considered a Class C. Will be using this forum a lot as the last motorhome, Class A,  that I had was when my son was in elementary school. He's now 39. So will have some coming up to speed to work on.  US Navy Veteran - Vietnam, 100% Disability Thanks, Dave ..read more

Sound deadening

Has anyone added sound deadening to doors or the driver/passenger cabin floor on the Sprinter and if so, was it helpful?  There is lots of information out for sound deadening on Sprinter vans but mostly those are for empty cargo vans, not Pleasureway or Roadtrek type “built out” campers where only the front cabin is addressable.  I have not pulled off the panels yet but rather doubt these conversions address this aspect ..read more

Inverter for a Roadtrek Adventurous CS

I'm a kind of newbie, and frustrated one at that.  My wife and I purchased a Roadtrek Adventurous CS.  The MB Sprinter runs great and the coach has so many comfortable features...but the electrical problems we've had in the past year are very frustrating. We replaced the fridge (under warranty) and the inverter (xantrex Freedom XC Pro Inverter/Charger).  Now the only way to power the coach is by plugging in to shore power.  Neither the alternator bypass nor the lithium batteries will supply power to the coach.  Maybe I overloaded the system by running the Alde heater ..read more
