We are delighted to announce that in collaboration with NatWest Group, Absolar will be embarking on an exciting new pilot scheme designed to help businesses take control of rising energy costs and their carbon footprint.

The UK's energy regulator Ofgem has appointed Absolar as one of its suppliers in a new framework agreement to drive the UK’s transition to net zero and ensure the security of supply for consumers. Ofgem has awarded Absolar a place on a two-year arrangement in the areas of energy efficiency.
The award will see us bid for a variety of advisory opportunities alongside other leading consultancies.

This week we welcomed Curtis Romanchok to the Absolar team.
Curtis, who is from Connecticut in the US, is pursuing a MSc in Applied GIS and Remote Sensing at the University of Southampton and joins us as an Intern.

With our solar survey now live and in action, we’re taking you back a step, and running you through the 2021 development journey of our state-of-the-art solar survey technology.
Prior to 2021, Absolar was able to carry out remote solar surveys using our LiDAR and Geospatial Information System analysis techniques, developed over a number of years with assistance from Universities and the Royal Academy of Engineering.

The end of the Feed-in-Tariff followed by Covid-19, Solar PV installations, like most things, had a rough 2019 and 2020. It can't be denied though, the end of 2021 saw the highest ever number of installs since government subsidies ended. Especially good news, these were mainly in the sub 4kW residential market showing a strong movement by households to adopt self-generated renewble energy on its own economic and environmental merits.

Absolar have recently completed a ground-breaking project with the Royal Air Force to establish their solar potential across certain parts of their estate.
This flagship project set out to identify where rooftop solar, solar carports and ground mounted solar farms could be implemented across RAF land in order to contribute to their Net Zero targets.
