Hold that thought. I might be confusing negative current, not voltage values across the battery terminals
But yes, disable smart charge
Be careful when quoting smart charge parameters from SAEB website, with disabling of PX1 rangers it is 100% disabled, PX2 I'm not quite sure, also remember with battery charging a battery will only charge at its own charge rate regardless of what you are trying to pump into them, an alternator is incapable of charging a battery to 100% SOC, most batteries will happily sit on between 70to 85% SOC in automotive use.

Can I cancel the auto one-touch thing? It annoys the S**T out of me.
Disconnect your battery for 5 minutes, your auto window function will cease to work.
Thanks mate!

As I stated get your smart charge disabled, which will be the first step getting onto resolving your dead battery issues, once done see what happens next!

As Bala mentioned, sound like smart charge is still active with your ranger, you will need either ford or auto electrician who knows how to switch off (disable) the smart charge.
The auto electrician couldn't disable the "smart" charge feature. I'll have to get the Ford tex to do it with the next service.
I've been using this Torque Pro/Android Phone setup for about 3 years now. Yesterday was the first time that I saw the battery charge/discharge meter spike into the negative (20 amp discharge) and back to charge (around 3amps when I was looking at it).
Usually and this is when I mostly us ..read more

Smart charge in my opinion is what giving you grief in maintaining proper SOC with the battery.
When I had smart charge active in the first 12 months of owning my ranger from new, I use to see voltage readings from 12.2 to 14.1 volts always going up and down like a yoyo when driving, the only time it seemed to stay high readings is when battery was put under load conditions, I have never liked or trusted smart charge ..read more

G'day, new to forum
Just bought a 2015 PX1 Super Cab. I need some side steps and weather shields. I've been searching but to be honest it gets a bit confusing trying to put together all the snippets from different threads, so I've got a few questions if that's OK?
Side Steps - Not doing any hard core 4WDriving so don't need sliders, mostly highway with occasional dirt roads so the main focus is protection from stone chips and wheel spray in wet weather etc. I've been looking at these which seem a reasonable price https://www.jtm-auto.com.au/product/hea ... 2012-2020/
